Not ten seconds later, she abruptly stood up and stepped out of the cockpit. Her hand moved instinctively downward as she turned away, irritation and embarrassment colliding in her expression.
"Forget it," she said through the mic after retreating to the rear chamber. "There's no need for me to learn this. You or Zion can handle it."
She grabbed a pot and glass from her inventory and poured herself water, drinking quickly as if flushing away residual heat.
Noah tilted his head, confusion evident in his clear gaze. He accessed her mental fluctuations through their telepathic link, and understanding dawned.

Kiara choked violently on her water, coughing hard enough to sting her throat.
