The interior of the massive alien command dreadnought was a chilling, deeply unsettling monument to absolute, unfeeling perfection. The air was unnaturally sterile and completely lacked the comforting, chaotic warmth of the natural world they had just left behind. Instead, it smelled intensely of sharp ozone, highly processed recycled oxygen, and the sickeningly sweet aroma of the toxic yellow coolant pumping relentlessly through the thick, translucent pipes lining the polished walls. The dark metallic grating beneath their heavy leather boots was perfectly uniform. Every single rivet, welded joint, and intersecting steel beam was calculated to a flawless, impossible mathematical standard. The architecture completely lacked any artistic flair or biological consideration. It was a cold, brutalist labyrinth designed entirely by machines, for machines.
