"Do you ou mean the same girl that pushed you?"asked mother eye's widened
"Yes mom."she said
"Oh no, why did you go?"exclaimed mother astonished
"She begged me mom and I went with my friends too."she said calmly
"Be careful with her Charl, hope she didn't do anything to you this time around?"asked mother eyes fixed on her eagerly
"No mom."she replied softy
"Better, I am going inside," said mother yawning "Have you eaten Charlotte?"she turned to her again
"Yes Mom,"replied Charlotte hands akimbo
"I trust you for that, foodie."grinning Deborah
"Duh, what about you foodie,"said Charlotte teasingly back
"And your dad, has he eaten too?"asked mother
"He has eaten too, I met him cooking when I came back from the party."replied Charlotte
"Wow dad cooked?"exclamid Deborah eyes widened and their Dad entered inside the sitting room at the moment
"Hi sweetie you're back."said father he pecked her on the cheek
"My darling husband good evening,"said mother
"Welcome sweetheart how was work today? asked father sitting beside her
"Bless God and you?"asked mother cheerfully
"I thank God too."he said and looking at his daughters admirable "How're you Debbie?" he asked softy
"Dad, Good evening."said Deborah greeting
"How're you Debbie?"he asked
"I'm fine thank you. Dad is it true you cooked this evening?"asked Deborah disbeliefing
"Yes I did, the remaining one is still in the pot for you guys."he replied
"Oh wow, thanks Dad,"Deborah got up from the couch
"Where are you going?"asked mother
"I'm going to check the food, Dad cooked."said Deborah and turned to her sister "Charl you can have your Viju milk and biscuits."said Deborah and ran into the kitchen
"Naughty sis."said Charlotte softly "Wait for me," said Charlotte grinning and they both left the sitting room
"She's surprised you cooked dear."said mother smiling face
"I can see it all over her, too. Sweetheart from henceforth I will cook and help you whenever you're not at home."said Dad tenderly to his wife dearly
"Really,"asked Mom surprised, mouth widened
"Yeah I want to be a supportive husband to you and the children."said daddy frankly
"Thanks honey."said mother smiling face
"Don't mention, remember we're helpmate for each other. I am sorry for all this while that I have not been a good husband and father to the children."he said sincerely
"It's okay dear,"she said warmly
"Thank you."he said grateful
"I love you,"she said sweetly
"I love you too. Can we go inside now."he said
"Yeah let's go inside."she said cheerfully and they both went inside the room.
The following day was Wednesday, in the classroom the students were preparing for their sports.
"Princess Birthday was top notch."exclaimed a dark hairy girl clasping hands
"You can say it again,"replied another girl
"Thanks girls,"said Princess smiling widely
"I love the game though."she said
"It was fantastic, I mean when Charlotte confessed her feeling to Caleb."said second girl eye's twitching
"And Caleb rejected her,"said Princess mockery
"Really?"asked a boyfrom the backseat, he was standing akimbo
"Yes two friends crushing on one guy,"replied Princess laughing coyly
"I knew it,"said first girl smiling obviously
"You knew what?"asked second girl
"Charlotte likes Caleb,"declared first girl
"Hmm, it's not news anyway"said Princess slylishly
"That's not true, watch your tongue."said Idris furiously, he was displeased to heard them talking badly of Charlotte and her friends
"She said it herself yesterday,"said first girl glaring at him angrily
"I was there yesterday, but that's not true stop spreading rumors."warned Idris at them
"She's a betrayal, though."said Princess smiling coyly
"What's going on here?"ask vivivian scanning the classroom, she noticed something was going on
"Oh Vivian sorry we heard what happened at the party,"said a girl sitting at the edge of window
"About what?"asked Vivian looking suspiciously at them all
"Your best friend confessed her feeling to Caleb,"said first Girl grinning
"Who said that?"asked Vivian
"Stop the drama, Charlotte likes Caleb it's not news again."said Princess smiling face
"Excuse you."entered Charlotte and everyone went to their seats leaving princess standing alone with the two best friends "What did you say Princess?"
"You heard me right I said you liked Caleb am I wrong."asked Princess coyly
"He's my friend and I like him."said Charlotte and some of class shouted mockery
"Aww."they said laughing at the two friends
"That's it Vivian, excuse me,"said Princess clasping hands and brushed herself against the two friends and went away
"What is that Viv?"asked Charlotte stunned at princess rudely behavior
"You can ask her yourself,"said Vivian coldly
"Really,"said Charlotte offended
At the break time the whole class was gossiping about Charlotte and Caleb. The Rumors spread all over the classes and Charlotte couldn't go for lunch
"Did you hear what they are saying?"asked Charlotte eye's widened
"About what?"said Vivian nonchalantly
"Caleb and I are dating, which is not true."said Charlotte red in face
"Hmmm,"said Vivian unconvinced
"Yeah, they even mentioned I confessed my feelings to Caleb that I like him,"said Charlotte angrily
"Didn't you say that?"asked Vivian unexpectedly
"I did? I thought you believe me, Viv."said Charlotte stunned at Vivian response
"Maybe, you like him, truly"said Vivian coldly
"Oh wow,"said Charlotte amazed at her outburst
"Yes Charlotte why would you said you liked Caleb and you had a crush on him."asked Vivian jealously
"I only say the truth and I have gotten over it he's just my friend now."said Charlotte sincerely
"Are you sure, you have gotten over it?"asked Vivian maliciously
"I can't believe you of all people to say this,"shouted Charlotte and she was sweating in face
"I can't believe you had crush on Caleb."admittedly Vivian annoying
"Okay fine,"said Charlotte and went back to her seat sobbing. Adam saw everything from outside the door, he was not happy about the rumors and now the two best friends are fighting.
Vivian left the classroom to cafeteria and was sitting beside Caleb
"Where's Charlotte I have not seen her today, what's wrong."asked Caleb surprised
"I don't know."replied Vivian nonchalantly
"Something is wrong Viv, what happened?"asked Caleb, he noticed from her attitude
"Nothing happened Caleb, can I eat my food in peace?"said Vivian upset
"Okay, fine."said Caleb, he left her alone and knew something was wrong, while Vivian continue eating her food.
Inside the classroom, Adam finally entered the classroom and met Charlotte sleeping on the desk
"Charl, Charl."he said quietly
"Adam,"she raised her head up slowly and her face was very red with tears
"What! Are you crying Charlotte?"asked Adam stunned and he rushed to her side holding her hands softy
"Yeah did you hear the rumors?"asked Charlotte sobbing
"I heard it but that's not true."said Adam gently
"You believe me?"asked Charlotte
"Yes I believe you, I know you only likes Caleb as a friend not as a crush anymore."said Adam gently
"You do?"asked Charlotte looking at his face for answer
"Yes Charl, I admire your courage for saying that to Caleb for how he treated you well the first time you met him even though I felt a little bit jealous,"said Adam he blurted out unknowingly
"You're jealous, why?"stunned Charlotte looking at him wondering
"Never mind Charlotte. I know you are saying the truth please clean your face"said Adam gently handling her handkerchief to clean her face
"Thank you Adam."said Charlotte softly
"You're welcome, what will you eat Charl?"
"I am not hungry,"
"Please don't say that I can goo to the cafeteria to get you food."
"You will?"
"Yeah,"
"Okay can you get me spaghetti and fried chicken."
"I will be right back, before I leave let's sit at the balcony outside you know we're not allowed to eat in the classroom."
"Yeah it's true let's go."
They both left the classroom and Adam went to the cafeteria to get Charlotte food while she was sitting at the balcony. Inside the cafeteria Adam met Caleb sitting with Vivian they had finished eating their food..
"Hi Adam,"
"Hi Caleb,"
"You're taking take away?"
"This is for Charlotte,"
"Charlotte what happened to her,"
"Nothing she's a bit down."
"Where's she?"
"She's at the balcony,"
Caleb stood up and went with Adam to see Charlotte while Vivian was angry with the situation.
"Oh Vivian, sorry we heard what happened!"said iris sneering
"Charlotte could do that, what a hypocrite!"
"Caleb is too handsome don't you think."
"Yeah I agree and he's a player too, so be careful Vivian."
"I don't need your advice, go away."
They both left her presence laughing mockery
"I think I need to leave this place right now."
At the balcony, Adam was standing while Caleb sat beside Charlotte talking to her quietly
"Charlotte I am very sorry what happened,"
"You don't have to."
"Please don't be mad at Vivian I know she will come around very soon."said Caleb holding Charlotte hands softly and Vivian caught sight of them from the backyard
"It's fine Caleb thank you."
"Don't mention."
"Charlotte please eat your food before they ring the bell."
"Okay thank you Adam."
