"Are you taking Meimei out?" Su Yiru was taken aback by how readily Ye Mingmei agreed.
"You told me to go out for a walk. I'm following your advice and heading out now." Ye Mingmei smiled faintly, walked over to the carpet, picked up Meimei, who was playing with a puzzle, and went to their room to change her clothes.
Staying home listening to Su Yiru's nagging was less appealing than taking her daughter out.
It seemed like it had been a long time since she last picked out clothes for Meimei; it was always Su Yiru who did the shopping.
Reflecting on this, she realized she hadn't been a very responsible mother.
