Uzushiogakure
Mikado estate
The Mikado estate was massive, as big as that of the third elder of the Uchiha of Konoha
Many, nearly a hundred Uzumaki from all ages lived there.
In the residence, a very old man could be seen hunched over some old scroll, a brush in hand
His moves were sluggish, as if every move was a struggle, and yet his gaze was focused and firm
As his brush was about to touch the scroll
"Poof,"
A puff of smoke appeared beside him, and from there a white owl eagle appeared beside him, interrupting his gesture.
'I had finally found the solution,' slowly turned his gaze toward the bird,
Before the old man could say anything
"Cow, cow, urgent, red alert, red alert!"
The bird screamed before dropping the red scroll in front of the old man.
Whoosh
The sluggishness that the old man displayed before disappeared as he fluidly opened and read the scroll.
In a few seconds, he had already read the threat warning that he received from Mikado.
"Konoha!!" The old man growled
In the scroll, the threat of the destruction of Uzushiogakure had been laid bare by Mikado.
After receiving the warning of Akashi, she had already used her connection to confirm that the moves of the other four great villages were problematic.
She had not only already confirmed that, but by a simple trick she had confirmed that Konoha knew of the coming invasion.
Yes, by sending that information using a flying bird in full view of the Konoha high council, she wanted to test their reaction.
It was just one of the probes that she had in mind; she herself hadn't expected that they would shoot down the bird before it ever reached the border,
Using a special seal, she was monitoring the summoning bird; with that action, she had confirmed that Konoha was indeed planning the extermination of Uzushiogakure.
"Everyone!"
The old man Tomura Uzumaki shouted; there was anger in his voice, not just anger, rage.
He was an old man who had been alive for hundreds of years; he was there when Konoha was founded, when Hashirama came to ask for the inheritance of the Uzumaki to protect his village.
Even though the Senju had disappeared, he still thought of Konoha as a second house; seeing that letter made his blood boil.
A dozen of ninjas appeared kneeling beside him.
"Gather every member of the house, old, young, baby, everyone; gather every scroll, every seal, money, food, every scrap.
This is an emergency; initiate the highest protocol of the house, code black.
'Code black,'
Everyone present looked up in confusion; some had no idea what code black was, and those who knew had a deep frown on their faces.
Code black was the highest level threat possible; it meant that the clan was in danger of extermination.
Even in the Warring States period, code had only been used a few times.
"Didn't you hear me!" he barked, unleashing his killing intent
"Yes, sir."
Whoosh
Using their fastest body flicker, everyone disappeared, running to accomplish their mission.
"I can't believe that something like that would ever happen again," he groaned, coughing a few times
"Are the old precautions still usable?" he thought with a shake of the head,
Since the creation of Uzushiogakure, the evacuation protocols had been neglected and abandoned
Getting up, the old man walked toward the door with heavy steps. "I need to warn the, the elders, the councils." At the door, his figure disappeared in an instant as if he was but a mirage.
Meanwhile, the estate was in ebullition.
The ninjas of the estate were running around like maniacs.
Using massive scrolls, the ninjas of the village took everything; the scrolls on the shelves disappeared one after the other like smoke in the wind.
Everything that couldn't be taken was destroyed.
This estate had about fifty ninja with hundreds of ordinary clansmen; soon, everyone was following the orders of the old Tomura.
A few of the children who were outside playing with their friend disappeared mid-sentence or mid-fight; one moment they were there, the other they had been taken away by their clansmen.
In the center of the village
Uzumaki Caste and residence of the Daimyo and Uzukage
Ashira Uzumaki, grandson of Ashina Uzumaki
"You have asked for an emergency meeting, Elder Tomura," a thirty-year-old man seated on a high seat said. All around were the elders of the Uzumaki clan
"Clan chief, fellow elder, I bring terrible news. I received a letter of My daugther," he said, passing the letter to the Ashira
"She thinks that the target of the other village will be our Uzushiogakure and that Konoha knows about that," he recounted what he knew and urged them to prepare for an imminent attack
"This is ridiculous," one of the five elders said, "If we were really their target, Konoha would have informed us; plus, how are they going to breach the natural barrier of the whirlpool surrounding Uzushio?"
"I believe that Konoha has already betrayed us. This is why we need to hurry and prepare for an imminent attack. I have already prepared my clansmen for a siege by recalling them to the estate."
"Stop saying nonsense, Tomura. You have always disagreed with the old man Ashina for giving our seals to Konoha in the initial stage of the village creation and have tried to create friction between us for years; we will not let your poison affect us!" another elder scoffed
"You are right that I always disagreed with Ashina, but the old man is dead an burried and my grudge with him," Pointing at the letter that had already been in thee hands of everyone he pointed he continiued
"That letter is from my daughter and she always disagreed with me on the matter of Konoha, if she wrote that letter it because she think that it is the right thing to do and I trust her charactere,"
"And I trust Konoha," The chief said. "Mito, my sister is still there; if they were plotting something, she would've informed us,"
"She might not know; do you forget that since the Senju have scattered, she has lost influence?"
"We have our own information Channels," another pointed out, and they all said that everything is fine; they follow the movement of the other village, and they are far from our location. They are moving toward Konoha; we have already received letters urging us to send help"
"Our channels are deeply dependent on Konoha..."
"Enough! Elder Tomura!" Ashira, the clan chief, said. The disappointment in his voice could be heard. "I think we have heard enough."
"You..."
"We thank you for the reminder, great elder; we will take it into consideration."
The room fell into a heavy silence; some looked at the old man with a barely hidden smile, while others shook their head.
'I should have expected it; I lost my place here a long time ago,' he thought
With a resigned sigh, he bent his head
"Thank you for your time." With that, the old man left, leaving the members of the council to continue their deliberation
"Maybe we should do what he said?"
"Useless, this isn't the first time he tries to create a rift between us,"
"While we are already here, let's discuss another point: how are the estimates for the explosive tags business..."
The members of the council continued their meeting after dismissing Tomura; what they didn't know was that the armies of the others ninjas villages were hours away from
Uzushiogakure.
....
Underground of Uzushio castle
The sound of footsteps resounded in the corridor leading toward the secret room of Uzushiogakure, where the greatest secrets of the clan were hidden
The Old Tomura walked purposefully toward that room he hadn't entered in a while.
His face was cold but his old eyes were determined
There was no one here,
no guards were stationed here; the place was protected by seals, and only a few had access.
Even though he was no longer a member of the council due to his past actions, due to his seniority, he still had access to that place.
Even someone as high-ranking as Mito Uzumaki, the sister of the current clan head, had access to that place and its secrets.
Tomura Uzumaki spent about an hour there taking everything important before leaving.
"I hope that you are right, granddaughter. I hope that you are right,"
He knew that if what Mikado sent him was the truth, then he would have nothing to worry about, but if it was wrong, then he would be considered a traitor by his own people and hunted down like a dog.
Still, a mix of pride and stubbornness kept him going
Not long after, all the members of his estate, the old, the young, the newborn, ninjas and civilians were assembled in an underground cave of the island cave.
Tomura looked at everyone present with appreciation
They had all come without question, even though they could have refused to follow him.
Biting his finger, he made a few hand signs and slammed his hands on the water surface.
In the water of the cave, a whale appeared; it was massive, as big as the summoning beast of Mount Myoboku of Ryugi cave.
The Uzumaki, due to their speciality in seals, had contracted many creatures throughout the years, and members of the whale clan were one of them.
Those particular types of creatures were used in emergencies to escape.
Not only are they massive, but the stomach of all the members of that clan was like a different world, an ability that only a few toads of Mount Myouboku had.
"Hello old friend, it has been a while,"
"Indeed, it has been a while since one of you old fossils called me. Is something happening?"
"Yes, I believe that a catastrophe is about to befall the clan. I warned the other elder, but due to past grievances they refuse to listen. I, however, will not risk it, so I ask you to bring my clanmen away from here; we have a few places to hide."
"So another calamity, huh? Of course you can count on me; you are among the only ones of my old summoner still alive, but I can see that you won't be here for long either,
"Thank you, my friend."
With that, the old whale opened his mouth wide, and the two hundred people of that branch of the Uzumaki walked in.
Once everyone was in, it closed its mouth and dove into the sea.
Three hours later
Boom Boom Boom
A massive explosion resounded in Uzushiogakure as the jinchiruki of the great village unleashed their tailed beast bomb while thousands of ninjas poured in, killing, pillaging, and kidnapping the people of Uzushiogakure.
Even though they were extremely powerful, it was no longer the warring state period where one ninja clan could survive alone against one great ninja village, let alone four of them,
While their ninjas were fighting with all their strength, the members of their council looked at the carnage unfolding under their eyes with shame and regret.
"If only we had listened, if only we had listened," They said,
Unfortunately, in this world there is no medicine for regrets; all they could do to atone was to don their armors and go to battle and die, taking down as many enemies as possible.
A day later, the news of the destruction of Uzushiogakure spread throughout the world.
