I gazed before me at the charred landscape with small blue flames still lingering in places. Feeling a familiar hum, I gazed down and smiled at my blade. Seeing the blue flames slowly diminish I gently sheathed Kayada and caught the gaze of a curious-looking Ophis.
"Dragon..."
Hearing her soft words with a gentle tilt of her head, I smiled at her and lifted up my blade. "This is Kayada....my most trusted companion."
[Ah! I thought I was your trusted companion!]
(You are too.)
[Hehehe~!]
"Kayada....means...little dragon?"
I nodded at Ophis's words and gently placed Kayada against my chest and felt it slowly get absorbed into my body. Ophis continued to gaze at my chest with a curious expression as a voice broke the awkward silence, "ATAL!"
I peered over the edge of the house to see Kohta looking up at me with a bright smile on his face. In his hands was a beaming Alice as Zeke continued to lick her face with a wagging tail. I smiled at both of them and slowly made my way towards the purple-haired beauty who was 'smiling' at me as well.
"...…"
"Uh, Saeko?"
"Get down."
I gulped audibly as her eyes glowed dangerously and the smile on her face became even more terrifying to me.
"W-What's wrong Saeko?"
"Atal!"
I felt a cold shiver go down my spine as I gazed over at the driver's side window. From within the window, Shizuka poked her head out and she was gazing at me with an angry glare.

"Shizuka...you're....hugging....tight!"
I gasped for air as I sat in the backseat of the Humvee. Shizuka was currently wrapping her arms around my chest as she squeezed with inhuman strength. Her face was entirely buried in my side as she said in a muffled voice, "Naehfe!"
"Huh?"
She pulled her head halfway out as she loudly yelled, "NO!"
I sighed in defeat as she buried her face again and turned towards the Saeko. Her head was resting against my shoulder and her left arm was wrapped around mine. Her eyes were currently closed and she had a small trail of drool coming out the corner of her mouth. I smiled and gently wiped the drool with my thumb. Saeko's eyebrows quivered for a moment before she wrapped her arm tighter around mine. I gazed down and felt my heart do a flip within my chest.
(Naked....and in an apron....nice.)
"Perv..."
I broke my gaze away from Saeko and to a fuming Saya, who was peering over the passenger seat and was giving me a 'go-to hell' look. I smiled up at her and gave her a kissing motion with my lips. Her face instantly grew red as she ducked back down and crossed her arms with the tips of her ears burning brightly. I gazed over at Takashi who was currently driving the Humvee, and with a face full of sweat, he tried his best to maneuver through the currents of the river we were crossing.
I felt something shift across my right thigh and I gazed down to see Miku currently laying her head against my leg her face directly face me. I continued to stare at her and noticed her eyes quiver for a moment.
(Yep...she's faking it.)
[Sneaky...]
I chuckled and peered up through the manhole on the top of the Humvee. Above I could see Kohta's back as he sang some songs along with Alice. Yamada along with Taniuchi and Kawamoto were around the top as well, but I couldn't see them. Sighing, I leaned my head back against the headrest and closed my eyes.
{Sir, you have received something from Mr. Kor.}
I opened my eyes...

Sticking my hand out, a prickly sensation spread through my body, and a yellow paged scroll appeared within my hand. I could feel Miku tense up, but I ignored it and opened the scroll.

"You've got to be shitting me."
I gazed down at the scroll with a blank expression and read the ominous name that was written in what appeared to be a blood-like substance.
