Dexter Archer turned around to look at her, cautiously asking, "Who are you?"
Tessa Caldwell chuckled twice, blinking innocently to appear as harmless as possible before replying, "I'm Tessa, Kenneth Caldwell's daughter."
This answer caused Dexter Archer's expression to change oddly.
He adjusted his sleeve and then looked at Tessa Caldwell sternly, asking in a manner befitting an elder, "What do you want with me?"
Tessa Caldwell thought for a moment and decided to inquire instead of interrogating him, "Mr. Archer, you called my dad to go out for tea the day before yesterday, but since then, he hasn't returned. I wanted to ask you if you know where he went?"
"How would I know where he went?" Dexter Archer replied immediately without thinking, "He left first; I don't know where he went afterwards."
"Then, what was the reason for inviting my dad out?" Tessa Caldwell asked again.
"Nothing much!" Dexter Archer had a moment of silence before replying.
