He picked up the glass, poured a drink, placed it in front of her, and asked, "Do you want to drink it?"
She picked up the glass and drank it all in one go, choking and coughing repeatedly before putting the glass down again.
"Slow down, it's strong."
"Why didn't you say so earlier? What if it chokes me?"
His warm, slender hands held the glass, pressing it down from her hand, he said, "If it chokes you, I'll take full responsibility!"
Then he handed her a candy.
Tessa didn't take the candy, just looked at him dumbfounded, "What do you mean?"
What does he mean by full responsibility? It sounds like he's going to marry her or something.
"What do you think?" He unwrapped the candy himself and then offered it to her mouth. It was a chewy orange-flavored candy, soft and delicious.
But she didn't move it in her mouth, staring unblinkingly at the stunning man in front of her, she had to admit, she was completely thrown off, her heart suddenly pounding.
