'How did he find out?' Kabuto's thoughts raced as he stared up at the screen broadcasting what was happening in the kage box.

This wasn't part of the plan at all. Once the fight between Sasuke and Gaara got truly heated, he was supposed to start the invasion. And while Orochimaru-sama dealt with the Sandaime Hokage, Kimimaro and the three others such as Guren-kun and Shin-kun were supposed to hunt down and subdue Daiki Yurei.

Instead Daiki Yurei had found out somehow and almost assassinated Orochimaru-sama!

'He's dangerous!' Kabuto ground his teeth as he took off, face hidden by an anbu mask and body hidden by a yellow cloak, he took to the roof tops in the confusion, leaving the arena behind.

He needed a high vantage point to cast the genjutsu without anything seeing and-

Pain assaulted him, a scream tore from his lips as a spear of lightning tore through his stomach. Mid-leap, he fell from the air, 'W…where?' he thought blearily, eyes searching even as he fell and triggered his regeneration jutsu.

His eyes roamed rapidly, finding nothing, nobody was around him and he sensed nothing at all-

Wait…there.

'How!?' he thought in disbelief as he looked at little more than dot at the very end of the village, atop the gates themselves, two fingers extended and a crackle of lightning around his form.

Daiki Yurei.

What…absurd precision…and…and!

'A clone did this to me!?' he realised. And it clicked, that Daiki Yurei who fought Neji Hyuuga was also a clone.

The real one had been laying in wait all along, waiting for the perfect moment to try and assassinate Orochimaru-sama!

He slammed into the rooftop clutching his stomach, body spasming as electricity crackled through his hole, a massive hole in his stomach, most of his organs outright obliterated, 'It's fine! It's fine!' he assured himself, making a hand seal and suppressing any panic or anxiety, he needed to focus, it would take a little bit, but he could heal from this.

Surely he would think he was dead, and leave him be. 'Yes, no doubt…he'll think I'm dead from that and….' his thoughts trailed off as he roof he was on rippled, and five clones of Daiki Yurei pulled themselves out of it as if the stone were liquid, 'Earth Style: Hiding Like A Mole…' he realised in horror.

He screamed as two of them stomped down on his feet, crushing them, while the other two did the same to his hands. 'How…ruthless….' Kabuto thought blankly as he fifth grabbed him by the face with his palm and lifted him into the air.

"Darkness Force Palm." was all Daiki Yurei said. There was no banter, no taunting, nothing.

It was completely unlike the character profile he'd built up from his observations of the boy.

His last thoughts, were of a kindly woman, her glasses glinting in the sunlight, as bright as the warmth of her smile, and an orphanage he missed oh so much.

And Kabuto's world went black as two shock waves pulverized his skull in a shower of gore.

__________

Daiki blinked as the memories of one of his clones returned to him, and the memories of Kabuto's death.

He looked at the assembled group Orochimaru had brought, and clenched his fist, lightning shrieking into existence around his body and he exploded forward in a shunshin.

Ignoring Orochimaru completely and his desire for pre fight banter and taunting, his eyes locked on the squishiest of the eight.

Faster than a shinobi could blink, he was in front of Tayuya, lightning clad fist aimed for her face-

Clang!

"Not fast enough." the bald fucker scoffed at him, a ragged metal clad arm held up blocking his punch.

"Is that right?" Daiki bared his teeth, and opened his palm. All five of the fuckers Sharingan eyes went wide as a double shock wave erupted from his palm and blasted into him, sending him flying.

As he landed, he had to duck sideways avoiding a bone blade aimed at his neck. He spun, sweeping Kimimaro's leg from him, falling into his palm on the ground and lashing out with a mule kick at his pale face

Bones burst from his cheeks taking the kick, but it still sent him flying back.

"C'mere you!" two thick burly arms lunged for him from behind as fat ass of the Sound Four tried to grapple him while he was off balance.

Daiki scoffed, spinning on his hand like a spinning top, rising up into an upwards kick that caught Jirobo in the chin-

Crack.

His neck broke and he fell flat on his back, dead.

"Holy shit!" Tayuya jumped back, staring in disbelief as her comrade dropped to the ground, dead.

"Is that it?" Daiki stood up, and ignoring them now, he turned his attention back to Orochimaru.

Or so it seemed.

But chakra was building in his core. They just couldn't see or sense as it did thanks to the abilities of the Shinkugan. And his attention was fully focused on Fukai.

There was only one reason Orochimaru would revive him after all.

Orochimaru sighed, "Sensei, truly I understand your discontent with teaching the young back then now, truly I do," he said with a dramatic fake sigh as he eyed Jirobu's corpse, "I explicitly told you all to leave dear Daiki-kun to Kimimaro-kun, Guren-chan, Fukai-kun and Shin-kun did I not?"

"You don't care at all about that young mans death," Hiruzen sighed shaking his head, before placing his palm atop his robes, and with a flash of chakra, they were gone, sealed away within the old mans own Dimension Force Seal, "My disappointment in you boy, is immeasurable. I should have killed you back when I had the chance, instead I let sentimentality get the better of me."

"Like you could have even if you tried old man," Orochimaru hissed mockingly, "I have far surpassed you Sarutobi-sensei."

"No," Hiruzen shook his head, "No you have not."

Orochimaru reared back as if struck, and Daiki knew why. Because, those were the exact words Orochimaru himself had used on Kakashi last month.
