______________

He was barely a single step into the waiting room, before he was swept up into a smothering hug.

Literally-

"Daiki-kun…thank you." Hinata whispered quietly as she held his head against her massive, soft cushiony breasts.

"Not a problem." he muttered into soft cushion, not even making an attempt to escape. A man could die happily being smothered by these things. Christ- Sage, what was her cup size, she was already on par with Anko at least!

He side eyed the rest while he enjoyed the breast pillow of heaven. Shikamaru was staring at him with a frown, while Naruto was grinning wide and flashing him a thumbs up.

Temari…was frowning, staring at him in annoyance.

Or something else he couldn't place.

"Hey…Hey, should you really be doing this?" he whispered quietly, eyes shooting back to Naruto, before looking up at Hinata, "Naruto is watching you know."

Hinata just smiled, before letting go and stepping back, "It's fine, that doesn't matter anymore." she said.

Making him blink.

Huh?

"Anyway, that was very impressive Daiki-kun," Hinata congratulated him as he stared at her, puzzled, "I couldn't even see you move."

"I could!" Naruto butt in before he could say anything, massive grin on his face as he pointed at Daiki, "You really showed that jerk who was boss, but don't go thinking that I'll fold like that Neji guy, I could see every move Daiki!"

Wait, he could?

Putting aside Hinata's odd reaction, he opened his mouth-

"Wait, you could!?" Shikamaru gaped, cutting in before he could say anything, "Naruto, you're supposed to be a lame uncool guy like me though! The hell are you doing to be able to keep up with that kinda speed!"

"Who's a lame guy!?" Naruto whirled around with a growl pointing at Shikamaru, "Don't apply your status to me you lazy useless bum!"

'Well, whatever.' Daiki shrugged, casting his eyes up and peering straight through the solid roof, to the kage box, before looking away as Sasuke entered the arena a moment later.

Soon.

'You seem to be under the impression, that geniuses can't work hard as well.'

Lee's grip tightened on the crutch he was holding to keep himself standing, biting his lip. 'Daiki-kun you truly are a genius. A genius of talent and sheer hard work, I am in awe.'

He made defeating Neji seem as easy as breathing. His eternal rival, bested so handily. Despite being younger than him…Daiki was on a completely different level.

"His speed is absurd." Kakashi commented from a few steps away from the crippled genin, idly leading through his book, though he was only sparing half his attention to it.

"Indeed!" Gai boomed, arms crossed, "Daiki-kun, has grown even stronger. He is almost as fast as us."

"Mmm." Kakashi hummed, looking towards the waiting room alcove where he could see said boy talking to the Hyuuga heiress, 'Little brat stole my jacket!'

"You know, it wasn't that long ago I thought there wasn't a single genin alive that could beat Neji," Tenten shook her head with an amused smile, "Then again, he's not really a genin in the end is he Gai-sensei?"

"Not quite Tenten," Gai shook his head, "He is far beyond the level of a genin for sure, but he is still a genin, at least until the end of this exam."

"True, though he could have gotten a promotion without taking the exam if he wanted," Kakashi mused, single eye moving to the battlefield as his dark haired student made his way onto it, and frowned under his mask…something was off about Sasuke, "He was given the choice of getting promoted right away before the exams, or taking them as a mission to help show off the village's ability."

'You just wanted to show off and get validation.' Lee flinched as Daiki's words echoed through his mind once more. He was right in the end. He should have listened to Daiki, 'Even if I did defeat Gaara, I would not have been worthy of promotion to chunin.'

Speaking of Gaara..

Lee's eyes were drawn to a familiar red haired figure making his way out onto the arena battlefield not long after Sasuke, taking position opposite him, face impassive and arms crossed.

The screens around the arena shifted, broadcasting a close up view of them to not only all those in the stadium, but to everyone in Konoha from multiple large viewing screens spread throughout the village.

Gaara tilted his head suddenly, looking at Sasuke with an odd look.

"What?" Sasuke's voice echoed, even as the camera focused on Gaara, "You look like you have something to say."

"Little to nothing, I have zero interest in you," Gaara replied blandly, "I was simply curious. I was under the impression the Sharingan was signified by the tomoe in the eyes."

"Yes, what about it?" Sasuke asked.

"I see no tomoe in your eyes," Gaara replied simply, "All I see, is a red and black lotus reflected in your eyes."

Kakashi stiffened, "What!?"

The camera panned to Sasuke then, a close up view of his face as he scrunched his brows, and indeed, his eyes lacked the tell tale tomoe of the sharingan, instead reflecting a red and black lotus, "What the hell are you talking about…." Sasuke replied, before he stiffened and his eyes widened, "Mangekyou…?"

The boys head whipped to the side and stared away from Gaara, beyond him, up to the viewing box-

Before suddenly the camera shifted, and instead broadcasted both the Hokage and the Kazekage-

"What?!" Lee gasped, and he wasn't the only one. His eyes widening in shock as he and everyone else there, stared in absolute shock.

"This should be an interesting match." The Kazekage commented as his youngest son made his way onto the field.

"Indeed, your youngest son is quite something," Hiruzen praised, withholding what he really wanted to say about how broken the young man was, "He'll have quite the uphill battle against young Sasuke-kun though."

"Mmmm, quite," Rasa chuckled, and he seemed in a very good mood now for some reason, "Gaara is our ultimate weapon, I do wonder how the legendary Sharingan will hold up against him."

"Well, we're about to find out." Hiruzen simply chuckled good naturedly, his eyes focusing on the broadcasting screen in front of them as Gaara struck up conversation.

Hiruzen blinked as the boys words registered, and then the camera panned to young Sasuke, and his eyes flew wide in absolute disbelief and shock, 'Daiki-kun, what have you done?' he thought as he stared at what was without a doubt, the Mangekyou Sharingan in young Sasuke's eyes.

There could be no other that caused such a thing to happen so abruptly, not when Sasuke himself was so confused by it.

What happened in those few minutes when Daiki made his way up to the waiting room and Sasuke made his way down?

"Mangekyou Sharingan…?" Rasa gave a gasping hiss of excitement that sounded so oddly familiar. The Kazekage leaned forward, an air of palpable awe and excitement around him-

And then a lightning clad hand pierced through the back of his throne like chair, and through his back, out of the front of his chest, visceral gore of an absolute obliterated heart sliding down the fist coated in blood.

"Wha-!?" Rasa started, before gagging and going limp.

"Chidori!?" Hiruzen gaped, head whipping around as he jumped to his feet in the blink of an eye.

It was so fast and so sudden, with no warning. He heard something, he sensed nothing.

"Did you think you could hide from me?" Daiki-kun standing behind the throne, his hand pierced through Rasa's back and heart, asked with a smirk.
