Mu Beiting muttered a curse under his breath and picked up the desk phone to dial the intercom. Not long after, Pete arrived.
Mu Beiting's long fingers rhythmically tapped on the desktop as he calmly issued orders, "Give the order to find the lady's whereabouts! The last place she went was the Blue Sky Building. Use that as a starting point and conduct a comprehensive search. Make sure to find her in the shortest amount of time!"
"I understand, I'll get on it right away!" Pete nodded and was about to leave when Mu Beiting's phone on the table beeped with a text message alert.
Pete paused, turned back to look at Mu Beiting, and didn't leave.
Mu Beiting picked up the phone, unlocked it, and opened the text message, only to see the words: 'If you want Ye Anxin to stay alive, come to the top floor of the Blue Sky Building alone! Do not call the police, do not bring any subordinates, or if I discover anyone else, I'll push Ye Anxin off the rooftop!'
