Pearl Jarvis looked at her: "Do you really not blame him at all?"
"At first I did blame him, but later on I thought about it - Cynthia Morgan orchestrated such a grand design to retaliate against you and my mom, and wasn't Third Uncle just a pawn in her revenge? Why do we need to make our loved ones suffer while pleasing our enemies?"
Pearl lowered her head, not daring to look into those beautiful eyes.
Tears fell drop by drop, uncontrollable no matter what.
"Auntie, I know you feel guilty, but before Cynthia Morgan died, what she said and what she wanted to do was all meant to make sure you and my mom could never return to the past, to break our bonds. You're now walking step by step into her trap."
Pearl's body stiffened slightly.
How could she not know that this was Cynthia Morgan's cleverness?
Even if she knew, she still walked into the trap.
