Aiden Shaw watched her through the rearview mirror, his always gently arched brows were now slightly furrowed, making him look tense.
He withdrew his gaze, started the engine, and headed towards the Thorne family home.

Tiana Thorne looked out of the window, and as they were about to reach home, she called her father.
"Tiana, have you set off?"
His voice was quiet, filled with anticipation, almost as if afraid she would tell him she was too busy with work to come back for now.
Tiana gently smiled: "Dad, I'll be home in twenty minutes."
After that, she heard her father's relieved sigh from the other end.
Her heart tightened slightly, and she said: "I'll hang up now, I'll be home soon."
Sean Thorne nodded and said: "Okay, alright."
His voice carried a hint of laughter, his mood lifted at that moment.
After hanging up the phone, Tiana took a long deep breath.
