Chapter 29 - Jedi Knight Siavor

Amazo Android:

Watching as the man in the sunglasses falls off the ledge, I hear banging and turn. Harleen, one of the prisoners I captured, is slamming her hand against a glass window. I watch as she shouts something and points at me before pulling a revolver out.

Harleen:

"I hope you can hear me, you giant, golden hunk of junk! I. Am. Going. To. Shoot. You!"

I throw my fist against the window, grabbing the stupid robot's attention before pulling out my revolver.

"Proxy-2. Robot dude! Can you hear me?"

"Ms. Harleen," Robot dude starts, "I can hear you. What do you need?"

"A freaking exit! How the heck do you open this window? Let me out of here so I can shoot that stupid robot! That, stupid, golden robot. Not you."

"I do not believe that is necessary," Proxy-2 replies.

"Why? The captain was just knocked off!"

"The tracker in his communicator tells me he is still on the Rouge Shadow."

"What?"

Jedi Knight Siavor:

Slamming my hand down, I grab the side of the Shadow and quickly pull myself up. Climbing back onto the top, I look at the Android as he approaches Harleen still banging against the window. When Harleen sees me standing, her eyes widen, her jaw drops, and she finally stops hitting the window.

"Hey," I shout. Hearing my voice, the Android freezes. He stops and turns to face me. "Our fight isn't over yet."

Closing my eyes, I start taking many deep breaths. I breathe in and out, over and over again. I feel my heartbeat slowing down. My teeth stop grinding against each other, and my fingernails are no longer digging trenches into the palms of my hands.

I put away my two red lightsabers, pocketing them in my cape and replacing them with another pair. Raising my communicator, I adjust some settings before speaking into it.

"Hello," I start, "This is the man in the sunglasses."

"Oh my god," Kara screams, the first person to answer. "Are you okay? Where are you right now?"

"Sunglasses," Slade yells, "Glad to hear you're still alive."

"Man in the sunglasses," the Doc cries, "Ohhh, I am so happy to hear your voice."

One by one, everyone in the Insurgency responds to me. I feel my heartbeat speeding up again, but I think it is for a different reason. I wait until the final person says something before talking again.

"I rescued Harleen and Aquaman, and we're coming back to Atlantis. And Kara. Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I'm with Harleen. At the moment, she's my partner. I'm not alone anymore."

Lowering my communicator, I activate my two new lightsabers. One bright blue beam of light and one golden yellow beam quickly shoot out from the hilts. Spinning and flipping my lightsabers in my hands, I stand against the Amazo Android.

"You survived my attack," the Amazo Android says. "Many things do not surprise me, but you do."

Shooting out his hand, another mace forms in it. As before, using Flash's super speed and Superman's strength, the Android rushes toward me. Moving as a golden blur, the Android reaches me in less than a second. He raises his mace and swings it down, but using the force, I knock him back.

"The Force will be with you always," Kenobi once told me.

Pushing himself up, the Android throws the mace overboard and aims his lantern ring at me. Along with the lantern ring, Android uses Superman's heat vision to fire two powerful beams at me.

"A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack."

Hearing these words again, the same words Yoda told me when I traveled to Dagobah, I shoot my hand out, throwing out another Force push that counters and redirects the lantern's beam and heat vision. Pushed into space, the beams quickly disappear from view.

Running toward the Android, I jump and flip, slamming my feet down on the Android. Kicking him into the Rogue Shadow's roof, the Android pushes himself again, but I am standing right there. Delivering multiple punches to the Android's stomach, I then uppercut him, punching the Android in the chin and knocking him back even further.

Stumbling and struggling to stay on his feet, the Android looks at me as I run toward him. Arming himself with another mace, the Android swings it upward, but I swing down, cutting the mace in two. The Android raises his hand and tries to use his lantern ring, but I spin my second lightsaber, slicing the ring right off his finger. The Android's eyes glow red. About to shoot and fire laser beams, I deactivate my lightsabers and place my hands on the Android's head.

"Your focus determines your reality," I say, repeating the same ones Qui-Gon Jinn told me. Using the Force, I re-enter the Android's mind.

"Focus," I say, "Focus your thoughts, Amazo. This is not your true nature. Superman has used Brainiac's technology to fool your mind."

As I speak to the Android, his eyes flash colors. They jump from purple to red to gold, back to purple, and then to gold, and so on.

"This is not your true nature," I repeat. "Remember who you are. Who you really are."

The Android's eyes keep flashing between colors until finally, it stops on two. The Android's right eye is gold, and his left eye is purple.

"Remember who you really are."

I say this before stepping back and putting my hands together. Throwing my hands forward, I unleash a massive force push that throws the Android off the Shadow and into the ocean below. Hearing a splash and seeing a blue and white eruption, I raise my communicator while running to the ledge and jump off.

"Proxy-2, open the ramp!"

Turning in mid-air, I grab the ledge and swing onto the open ramp. Telling Proxy-2 to close the ramp now, I run into the Shadow. Entering the Shadow's cockpit, I almost bump into Harleen as she runs back in.

"Harleen!"

"Sunglasses!"

I rush forward and hug Harleen.

"Whoa," Harleen says. "And here I thought you wanted to sleep with Supergirl."

Hearing what Harleen just said, I pull back with bleeding ears. I grab Harleen by the shoulder and pull back my fist. About to punch Harleen, I look at my shaking fist. Biting my tongue, I lower my fist and point a stern finger at her.

"Please, oh please, don't ever, ever, ever say that again."

"Aye-aye, Captain," Harleen says, putting her hand to her forehead. "By the way, what was the black armor? And the spaceship? By the way, you have a spaceship! An actual spaceship! If you had this the whole time, then what did we take the Rusted to Oa?"

"The Rusted is a massive spaceship, capable of housing the whole Insurgency. It comes equipped with nearly one hundred beds, a fully stocked infirmary, farmlands, an atmosphere generator, a training ground, and two dozen cannons for offense. The Rouge Shadow is a smaller spaceship that only has two beds, a miniature and not as stocked infirmary, no farmlands, no training ground, and very few weapons. Now, will you please go away! I need to change."

Looking around, I see Aquaman resting at the table. Still unconscious, I grab and throw him into Harleen's arms before shoving them down one of the hallways.

"Proxy-2," I say, opening the hidden component again. "Please activate the hyperdrive. Get us out of here."

"I've already done it, sir," Proxy-2 says. "Hyperdrive in 3, 2, 1."

The ocean and sky turn into blurs as the Rouge Shadow shoots forward, leaving behind the pursuing helicopters and yellow lanterns. As we travel through the colorful blurs, I start taking off the armor. I remove the cape, the gloves, and the boots. I place all the lightsabers back inside.

"Proxy-2," I say.

"I know, sir. I will be offline for the next few seconds."

"Thank you, friend."

Hearing a beep, I remove the helmet and put it back in the component, hopefully sealing Darth Slayer away. Putting on a pair of sunglasses, I hear another beep.

"Sir," Proxy-2 says.

"Hello Proxy-2," I reply. Wearing a pair of blue and black sunglasses with a short-sleeved shirt, a tan jacket with a dozen pockets, and long pants, I nod and walk to the pilot's seat. "Take us back to Atlantis."
