The Layne Corps like other multi billion dollar company has many business under it like their high class stores, photo studio, pharmacies, and other business but their main focus were on hotels, restaurant and Shopping malls
Unlike the Layne Corps, the Cooper Industries into construction though they had chains of hotel under the company, they focused mainly on construction and building
Though the Layne Corps was into business, most socialites and upper class family knew of their involvement in the Underworld. Still what people knew was their involvement not many were aware of their the fact that the Laynes practically owned the Underworld

His mother seduced his father trapping him with the responsibility of being an instant father although his father wasn't married to anyone at that time he had a lover and his paternal grandfather being the principled man he is got them married who knew his father still kept seeing his lover even while being married to his mother
At first he had nothing against his half-brother but it all started to change when his father started staring at him with disgust, ignoring his mother and favouring his half-brother over him and being just an innocent 5 year old child who didn't know nothing he started distancing himself till he grew up to be cold and indifferent and of course in the later years of his teenager life he left home.
Turns out his father's lover was just another manipulative and lying bitch, feeding his father with different lies and putting up different scenarios of lies in his head and of course his dumb muddled headed father didn't dare question the authenticity of her words
