Godrick slammed down his greatsword, splitting me and Felix up quickly. The mud beneath me made moving feel sluggish which put me in a weird position. Moving fast was what I did and now I can't do that… unless…
"I have you now!" Godrick swung his greatsword towards me right as I jumped up and launched myself forward with an explosion that pushed against the weapon, causing Godrick to stagger a little.
Felix stared over at Godrick before launching razor sharp winds in his direction, each one leaving small cuts all over Godrick.
"Did ya really think we weren't gonna improve at all since last time?" I had positioned myself above Godrick and raised my hands, creating two small explosions with each palm to send my soaring downward. My boots connected with the top of Godrick's head, slamming him deep into the ground which created a small dent in the ground.
I stood on top of Godrick, looking down at his unmoving body. I don't think I killed him but he doesn't seem to be moving. I jumped off his back and walked towards Felix. I had questions that needed to be answered like happened to everyone while I was in that weird area?
Before I could even open my mouth, I felt a sharp pain hit my side as I was sent crashing through a wall. I briefly looked around and saw that I was in a fancy dining room before looking at the hole I created. Godrick quickly bursted in the room and swung his greatsword, missing me by a hair and causing all the furniture in the room to shift. Godrick pulled back his weapon, allowing it to change into the shape of a spear as he thrusted it forward.
Thinking quickly, I raised Genki to slightly redirect the attack as it scraped my side. The loud screeching noise of the metals colliding made my eye twitch slightly. I pushed forward, allowing myself to make an attack after Godrick had left himself open.
I readied myself for a spell, quickly setting my sword ablaze for an all out attack, "Flame Sla-" Godrick raised his free hand and swatted me away, sending me into a painting.
Godrick raised his open hand and pointed at me, "I won't allow myself to lose to you again. I'll take both you and that wind caster over there and prove myself to my lord."
I pushed myself out from the painting and dusted myself off, "Right well I hate to break it to ya but to accomplish my dream I'm gonna hafta take both you and your boss down."
Godrick's hand lowered, "Your dream?"
I grinned and pointed to the ceiling, "I'm shooting straight for the top of this tree."
Both Godrick and Felix looked over at me in shock at how easily the words came to me. I kept my grin and started walking towards Godrick as he kept his eyes locked onto me.
"In order to make that dream of mine come true, I need to be capable of defeating monsters on this floor."
Godrick's face contorted in irritation as he raised his weapon into the air, turning it into a greataxe, "Then your dream will end here!"
Right as the axe was about to crash down on me, I swung Genki at full force. The impact of the two weapons clashing created shockwaves around us, causing Felix to be blown back and out of my sight.
Using all my might, I pushed upward against Godrick's axe, winning the class and creating an opening. I planted my right food ahead of me and used a small explosion to launch myself towards Godrick, keeping myself low to the ground. To my right, I could see Godrick's free hand coming in to swat me away just like before. I quickly moved Genki over to where the attack was coming from and readied myself to slash him. Using one of Genki's beams, I used the momentum created by it to perform a cut faster than Godrick could react and sliced his hand open.
"How dare you!" Godrick shouted as his axe approached me at a speed that made it impossible to dodge.
"I'm still here you moron!" Felix emerged from behind Godrick, casting a powerful gust of wind that sent the axe out of his hand.
With a sigh of relief, I gave a thankful nod to Felix before using an explosion to place myself before Godrick's face. I planted both my hands on Godrick's face before repeatedly setting off multiple explosions making him begin to fall backwards. Right before he hit the ground, I could hear him mutter the words "impossible".
"You made that look easy." Felix said, walking over to me.
"Meh. I woulda lost had you not used that gust of wind. Great job hiding yourself and making him forget you existed though. That really saved my hide!" I gave a tired laugh, placing Genki into his sheathe.
"Think nothing of it. Still, where did you go when you ran after the monster on the stairs? The two of you completely vanished." Felix had a concerned look in his eyes as he asked me that question.
I placed a finger to my chin, "Hmm… I was brought to some weird area where the moon was huge and there was water I could stand on that stretched out super far! That monster was super strong though. I really couldn't do much to him." A hint of disappointment could be heard in my voice.
"That strong, huh? Well we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Let's move further into this fort before our friend over there wakes up." Felix and I both briefly looked at Godrick's unconscious body.
I nodded, "Lead the way."
