Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: One-Click Max Level System

The border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning was an unforgiving expanse of jagged terrain. Deep within a hidden karst cave, a battered remnant of Konoha shinobi huddled together. The air was thick with the copper scent of blood and the damp chill of the underground.

Morale had bled out of them long before they found this shelter. A heavy, suffocating silence hung in the dim light, broken only by the ragged breathing of the wounded.

"Damn those Cloud shinobi," a man hissed, clutching a bandaged arm. "Waiting until we were bled dry by the Stone and the Sand before making their move."

"There are only twenty-nine of us left," another whispered, his eyes hollow. "Their vanguard alone has over a hundred men. And they're being led by the A-B Combo—the Raikage's successor and the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki."

Panic rippled through the shadowed cave. If the Cloud forces completed their encirclement, it would be an outright massacre.

The Third Great Ninja War had stretched the Hidden Leaf Village to its absolute breaking point. What had started with the mysterious disappearance of the Third Kazekage had spiraled into a multi-front nightmare. The Stone had shattered the Kanabi Bridge defense line, while the Sand and the Mist pressed from other borders. Konoha was forced to divide its strength across three separate battlefields. Now, the Cloud had shattered the illusion of a secure rear guard, launching a devastating flanking maneuver to force open a fourth front.

This makeshift squad, cobbled together from whatever forces Konoha could spare, was vastly outmatched. They had already lost half their numbers just brushing against the enemy's vanguard. The fact that the Cloud was openly broadcasting the A-B Combo's presence was a calculated psychological tactic: break the enemy's spirit before the battle even begins.

"Has command answered our request for backup?" someone asked, a desperate edge to their voice.

"They have. Lord Minato Namikaze is coming personally."

For a fleeting second, hope flickered in the cave. The Yellow Flash.

"But Lord Minato is spearheading the battle at Kikyo Pass," a pessimistic voice countered, immediately extinguishing that brief spark. "By the time he disengages and covers that distance, the Cloud will have already wiped us out."

Silence reclaimed the cave. The math was brutally simple. Given the Cloud shinobi's speed, they would arrive in three days. Twenty-nine exhausted, wounded soldiers against a hundred elites and two monsters. It was a death sentence.

All eyes slowly turned toward the mouth of the cave, where their two squad leaders stood conferring in low tones. Both were Jonin dispatched from Danzo's Root: Torune Aburame and Fu Yamanaka.

"Assess the wounded," Fu said, his voice a flat, emotionless drone. "If their injuries are too severe to travel, we abandon them here."

"If command had assigned us Shisui of the Body Flicker, we might have stood a chance," Torune muttered, adjusting his gloves. "Instead, we drew the short straw with the Uchiha clan. That kid, Qin Yu, walked right into an explosive tag array on his first day. What good is a single-tomoe Sharingan if you're dead weight?"

Near the back of the cave, amidst the discarded bandages and murmurs of the dying, a fourteen-year-old boy's eyelids fluttered open.

Uchiha Qin Yu stared blankly at the stalactites above, his mind violently piecing together two completely different lifetimes. He blinked, the fog of a concussion slowly lifting as a wave of unfamiliar memories crashed into his brain.

'I actually transmigrated?'

He swallowed hard, panic tightening his chest. 'And I transmigrated into the Uchiha clan—a clan destined to be massacred—right in the middle of the meat grinder that is the Third Great Ninja War!'

Worse still, he had just woken up to hear his commanding officers planning to leave the heavily wounded behind. His own body ached terribly; he was textbook cannon fodder.

'Am I really going to be the shortest-lived transmigrator in history?' Qin Yu gritted his teeth, a spark of defiance pushing through the pain. 'Dying on day one isn't my style.'

As if answering his silent protest, a crisp, mechanical chime echoed directly inside his skull.

[Ding! The One-Click Max Level System has been successfully activated. Would you like to use it immediately?]

Qin Yu froze. A system? The legendary safety net of every transmigrator had arrived right on time.

"Activate it," Qin Yu commanded in his mind, his heart hammering against his ribs.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host. Building database...]

A translucent screen flickered into existence before his eyes.

Host: Uchiha Qin Yu

Rank: Chunin

Ninjutsu: Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu, Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu, Shadow Clone Jutsu, Body Flicker Jutsu.

Kekkei Genkai: One-Tomoe Sharingan.

Looking at the meager stats, Qin Yu understood exactly why Torune had called him dead weight. The Uchiha were renowned for their prodigies; compared to the clan's elites, his current abilities were utterly forgettable.

[Scan complete. Would the host like to apply the One-Click Max Level feature immediately?]

"Use it. Max everything," Qin Yu didn't hesitate. In this hellhole, power was the only currency that mattered.

The cascading notifications were accompanied by an intense, burning sensation in his eyes. It wasn't painful; rather, it felt like a dam breaking. A massive reserve of visual prowess—dense and overwhelmingly potent—flooded his optic nerves. The single tomoe in his eyes spun wildly, multiplying and warping into a complex, intricate pinwheel design before fading back into the dark depths of his pupils.

At the same time, decades' worth of combat experience, flawless chakra control, and intricate hand signs were hardwired directly into his muscle memory. This meant that from now on, any jutsu he encountered could be instantly mastered.

Qin Yu let out a breathless, quiet laugh, a stark contrast to the despair surrounding him. 'Other people train for decades, shedding blood and sweat just to achieve a fraction of this power. I maxed it all out with a single thought.'

Whether it was the absolute defense of Susanoo or the unquenchable black flames of Amaterasu, he now possessed the pinnacle of Uchiha power.

"Qin Yu, don't move!"

A soft but urgent voice snapped him out of his reverie. A young girl with short black hair hurried into his field of vision. It was Shizune.

She was the only medical ninja assigned to this doomed squad. Her usually bright face was ghostly pale, drenched in cold sweat. Dark circles bruised the skin under her eyes, and her breathing was dangerously shallow—clear signs of severe chakra exhaustion. Living in this war felt like more of a punishment than dying, yet she was still pushing herself to the absolute limit.

Despite her exhaustion, Shizune knelt beside him, her trembling hands glowing with the faint, soothing green light of medical chakra. She reached out toward his bandaged chest.

Before the healing chakra could make contact, Qin Yu raised a hand and gently caught her wrist.

"I'm fine," Qin Yu said softly. "My wounds are mostly closed. You need to rest. If you force out any more chakra, you're going to pass out."

Shizune stubbornly shook her head, biting her cracked lower lip. "Lady Tsunade always says... medical ninjas are the last guardians of life on the battlefield. If even I give up on you, then command will definitely leave you behind."

She sank back onto her heels, the green chakra flickering and dying in her hands as her physical limits finally caught up to her. She curled her fingers into the fabric of her blood-stained pants, her knuckles turning white.

"It's not fair," Shizune whispered, her voice thick with raw emotion. "If I were as strong as Lady Tsunade... if I could summon Lady Katsuyu to heal everyone at once, they wouldn't have to be abandoned."

Her shoulders began to shake. Hot tears spilled over her lashes, splashing against the back of her bruised hands.

"My parents already died in this war," she sobbed softly, the weight of her grief finally spilling over. "I don't want the families waiting at home to feel the disappointment I felt. I don't want them to be left behind while they're still breathing. I'm a medical ninja... but right now, I can't do anything."

The quiet sobs and the trembling of her shoulders cast a heavy weight over the dim cave. It was the raw, bitter indignation of a healer who lacked the power to save lives.
