"The necklace." They both said as Ashleah felt shivers down her spine. The princess slowly gulped as she tried to calm Nash down. The man was completely surprised. For a moment, he forgot that his curse wasn't broken yet.
"Nash, calm down. This.. I know for a fact that it won't be bad this time Nash seriously—" She was about to walk a little closer but the man quickly shuffled away with his blinking eyes.
"N-No." He quickly shook his head, as he hid the necklace inside his pockets. Nash washed his face using both of his palms as slowly his breathing started to be unstable. "Ashleah, do you even know what you're saying? I am very sorry for the word but, you still are collecting your memories right?"
"Y-Yes. Nash wait, please calm down—" She was about to hold his shoulder but the man shrugged and started to massage his forehead.
"And you don't know how people in this era can be the devils right? f*ck. If you remember the killing before we got here, it's much worse in this time. You can even see the way they tortured Giulia. People in this kind of era are demons, Ashleah. Do you understand me?"
Nash was whispering but the intensity of his voice didn't change. He was trembling. She shook her head and sighed, as her eyes closed. Ashleah knew that Nash wasn't joking this time. He was right that she was still regaining memories from her different lives, and she still doesn't know a lot of things about this world.
"Do you need my help Nash?" She said, Ashleah quickly looked around just to make sure if someone was there and hearing their current conversation. "I could always lend you some hand Nash—"
"Ashleah, you do know that I just get literally transported to where the killing or someone dying is going to happen. Just, please help me in a way that you are going to start your research with the magicians. Please." He pleaded to her. "Say yes, damn—"
"Okay fine! I do believe in you. You can do it. We can do it Nash!" They both smiled and nodded at each other before fixing their composure, trying to hide their doubt with smiles that were plastered on both of their faces.
"You did talk for quite some time don't you?" Axis said with a grinning smile that was on his face. Nash scoffed and was about to show his middle finger to Axis but Ashleah quickly slapped Nash's right hand making them both chuckle. "My, you two really like teasing me huh?"
They were about to laugh again but Gab quickly ran to them with his scared look. "Your Majesty! We need to go back quickly!" Gab said, Ashleah gave him a weird look. The Princess was about to talk to Nash but his eyes were wide as he was looking down.
The princess gasped silently for they were the only ones who saw how the necklace shined brightly. With Nash's trembling hand, he raised his pointing finger and puts it on his lips. Telling Ashleah that she should stay quiet for now.
"Yo-Your Majesty. I do think it's time to go, I forgot that I have some important things to attend to." Nash quickly said, as he looked around. "May I borrow Gab's horse for a while?" He quickly said, making everyone looked at him like was he being serious?
"My, Duke Deoncan, why are you in such hurry? Is it that important?" Emperor Adler blurted out, with his eyebrows slowly rising up. Ashleah knew that her Father was now having little doubts on Nash. She needed to think of a plan, a way that they wouldn't doubt Nash.
"Father! We haven't told you, but what we talked about earlier was about me and Nash thinking about having a business, right Nash?" The princess quickly gave Nash a look that he should go with the flow or the both of them would get busted.
"Yes, I am also planning on making the preparations for now. That is the reason why I wanted to go soon, I have to make plans for now. Ashleah wanted the business to take off as soon as possible." Nash said, as words started to flow right inside his mind. Ashleah chuckled inside her imagination for she thought that Nash was getting better in creating excuses.
"If you say so. Gab, can you please let Duke Deoncan borrow your horse?" The Emperor said, Gab quickly nodded and holds out his hand pointing it at his horse. Nash nodded and bowed to all of them.
No one saw it coming, as soon as they arrived at the Imperial Palace, everyone was in chaos for there was a low ranked young lady noble that was killed inside their own mansion, and the fact that the Father said that his daughter was raped right in front of him, Emperor Adler was furious.
Ashleah felt there was a very heavy burden inside her chest. She bit her lower lip as she felt angry to the point that she couldn't even control her emotions that she chuckled sarcastically. "Please do bring the Father inside the Palace right here, right now." Ashleah said before walking away. Emperor Adler shook his head and sighed as he sat on his throne.
The man knew his daughter too well. He knew that the princess was so upset with the matter. He was too, rape and killings are one of the worst things that can be done. It was unforgivable.
Ashleah was now inside her room, the princess sadly looked at her reflection in front of the mirror. She was now wearing a light red halte neck ribbon, an empire bodice with small beadings on it, white arm cuffs with floor length draped sleeves, tapered folds, long pleated and sheer overskirt, a 2nd layer sheer, and finally solid silk skirt base.
The princess was looking sadly at her reflection, Aziel was now worried for the Princess so he quickly ran to her and hugged her legs. "Princess, stop being sad. Do you miss playing with me and Prescott?" Aziel pouted his lips making Ashleah chuckle. "You are so pretty princess when you smile. So you have to smile a lot more okay?"
"Hmmm, I will—" The princess was about to chuckle when they both heard loud and large knocks on her door. Her nanny Riley with a confused and furrowed eyebrows quickly opened it and was welcomed by the Emperor.
"Ashleah, you have to see Nash right now. The man is crying, we don't know what to do—" Her eyes widened, she quickly lets Aziel down and kissed the youngman's forehead before running out fo the door. "—Ashleah! Calm down!"
She couldn't even focus, she knew that Nash was inside her father's office for a fact. She quickly opened the door and heard him sobbing. Her eyes went soft as she quickly walked to Nash.
"I saw.. how they f*cking did that to her, and I couldn't do anything."
