"You lied to me!" Jillyanna declared the very second the monthly executive board meeting was officially adjourned.
She stood directly in front of Diego, her feet planted firmly on the polished floorboards and her hands rested squarely on her hips as she fixed him with a fiery, accusing stare. Diego paused mid-step, clutching his silver laptop under one arm as he looked back at her with an expression of complete, innocent confusion.
"You explicitly told me before we walked into that room that the meeting would only last an hour!" she pressed, her dark eyes narrowing.
Diego burst into a loud, booming laugh, entirely unbothered by her dramatic confrontation. "Sorry about that, Jill! I honestly didn't think you'd actually take my casual estimate so seriously!"
