Someone, no, something like me isn't very common. It is not very often at all that any sort of God gets bored and wants to live as a human, let alone an old one like herself. Yeah, it turns out that H.P Lovecraft was surprisingly accurate with how her species was portrayed, but he never captured the loneliness they felt.
I myself am an old one, only about 120 million years old, very young for one, but still an old one. Gods like me, no, eldritch beings like me were never normal. I distinctly remember being in a state of unconsciousness for the nascent years of my life, drifting and floating throughout space without any rhyme or reason.
It was then that I discovered a place called Earth.
Earth was beautiful, life festering it and making all of these wonderful things with all of these wonderful people that had these spectacular connections. But, it was bad too. War, genocide, famine, hate, it all circulated around as much as the good.
For the longest time, I wanted to go down there and experience it, experience what they felt, experience the life of a…Human. For millions of years, I tried to psyche myself up to go down there, but I was too scared about what I may do to the planet even unintentionally. I've wiped out species just floating adrift, what if I mess all of this up?
It was only after a few million years that I came up with a plan: I would reincarnate myself.
I would choose the body of a still-born child and put an infinitesimally small piece of my soul in there while my main body goes completely asleep.
So I did it, my wonderful parents being frozen in amazment at the miracle that happened and I, myself, truly becoming a human. I made it so that I forgot what being an old one felt like, my way of thinking being much too alien for a mere child to grow up well-adjusted.
I grew up like that for 5 whole years until I found my best friend. He was just sitting in a sandbox by himself, looking out in the distance before I introduced myself to him.
Alicia Lichenstein met James Richardson.
James was very weird when I first met him. His bravado was immense and he talked like an action-movie star, but that was never how he truly felt. Apprently his parents died only 3 months before I walked to him, James being the only one to survive the car crash.
Eventually, we became the best of friends and he confided with me two things: his dream and the truth about his parents.
His dream was that he wants to be strong, so strong that nobody has to die again. He held true to this dream, constantly studying or working out or hanging out with me. He was truly strong.
And the truth about his parents car crash was that he caused it. THe way he described it that he was being an "annoying little prick" that caused his dad to look back and scold him, leading to the truck colliding with all of them.
I didn't judge him, just telling him everything was going to be okay and that it wasn't his fault. He didn't believe the second statement, but I could tell he truly felt better about himself…
Until I died.
It was when we were 15. We both lived in a rough neighbourhood, but we could never expect something like a mugging happening to the both of us. One day while we were walking home from school, someone associated with his aunt, who he lived with, accosted the both of us inside of an alley.
We cooperated, knowing he was carrying a gun, but he wasn't thinking straight. James' aunt owed him a great deal of money, so he figured he'd take away her nephew as a sort of warning… But that didn't happen.
Both me and him struggled and fought, even if it only lasted for a few seconds before a loud BANG rang out from his pistol. James was unharmed, but I… was shot directly through my throat.
My last moments as Alicia were James looking down at me and just shaking my as hard as he could, crying at me to get up while the man swiftly ran out of the alleyway.
When I died I came back as my old self, but I decided to do something. I decided to watch James' life.
There was a funeral, the man recieved the death penalty, and everyone close to me grieved horribly, especially James. The wonder he had, the fire within himsel fhad been extinguished like a candle and it was only made worse when he was diagnosed with lung cancer at 18.
He could extend his life into his 30's with chemo, but he decided not to, wanting to die as early as possible. He got into anime and became a shut-in, consuming every anime he could to attempt to give himself that spark of adventure again, but…Nothing happened.
And today on December 15th, James Richardson died at only 20.
I didn't even think twice on what I was about to do. I grabbed his soul before it went anywhere and brought it to myself, deliberating on what to do with him. I knew he loved living and he wanted to really get strong so nobody had to die like me or his parents, so I decided to reincarnate him somewhere fictional.
Although I said it like that, it really isn't easy. For me to reincarnate him I'd have to sever a large amount of myself, put it inside of him and throw him into the void, a place where everything in almost every multiverse that serves as a bridge. The only way he could even make it through was by absorbing me.
…I'm pretty fine with that.
But, I have to make sure he doesn't die again, I must make sure he survives. So instead of just placing a large chunk, I decided to place all of myself inside of him. This would no doubt shread a human's soul, but as long as I do nothing but act as a gateway to the void to give him things, he could survive.
So now, all I must do to get through the void is give something up. WIth James' soul in boot, I accessed the void, being met with infinite darkness that required a sacrifice.
…I give up all of my power, all I would be able to do is help this human soul through random luck.
The void shivered, but eventeually found my sacrifice as worthy as it made me able to access it. I slowly pushed one of my tendrils into James' soul, feeding myself into his soul and assimilating myself into him.
I wouldn't be Alicia anymore, or even have an ego… But I'm okay with that. I feel strangely at peace with it.
By the time this is over…
[Honesty]
Severity 16
You are an honest person, way too honest. You cannot communicate with the intent to deceive someone, no lies, no lie by omission, no clever wording, whatever you say, you say what you mean. So either don't talk or tell the truth.
Resolve: Acquire a Lie Detector ability or a Deception ability or acquire Adept rank communication/Persuasion
You might not even be able to hear me.
[Loner]
Severity 2
You have the aura of a loner around you, making you often left out. It is more difficult to get people to pay attention to you, and it is harder for you to get recognised for your actions. Your parents probably forgot you at the store too often.
Resolve: Perform a feat that gets a large range of attention on you, such as publicly defeating a well-known enemy.
My soul and mind are probably nothing but dust in the wind at this point.
[Cursed Remix]
Severity 12
The world you are going to is different from the one you remember, not so much that the flow of fate is completely changed, but enough to make your life harder. Maybe some people have different parents, more monster varieties exist, some people aren't dead, some people are, who knows? There might be more beneficial changes for you, but they are definitely more than balanced out by the bad.
Resolve: No resolve, one and done deal
Maybe I'll manifest as a distant memory, a shadow on the wall, or maybe just a random feeling in your heart.
[Curse of Arms]
Severity 14
You cannot wield weapons; the moment you try to hold a weapon or try to utilise it to any extent, they will be ripped out of your hands, and you will be shocked by lightning that increases in severity with each attempt.
Resolve: Roll or acquire at least 5 rare ranked or above weapons and at least one Adept or above weapon skill mastery
But please, James, all I need you to do is know this…
[Slow Slots]
Severity 12
Your ability cooldowns have gone from a 5-minute cooldown to a 1-hour cooldown. Once you swap an ability slot, you must wait at least 1 hour to change that ability slot again.
Resolve: Acquire at least 5 speed boosting abilities, items, or traits.
I love you, I love you more than I thought I ever could love something.
[Brand of Sacrifice]
Severity 19
You are marked with the Brand of Sacrifice on your neck, which constantly draws the attention of the Demons and Evil Spirits towards you like a magnet. If the world you are in does not have evil spirits, they will start emerging to specifically to target you. Whenever you are near an Evil Spirit or a Demon the Brand of Sacrifice will throb to warn you.
Resolve: Get yourself cleansed with an Epic Rank or higher purification or exorcism effect, roll a rare rank or higher demon affinity trait, change race to Demonic or get 3 rare rank or above stranger effects
You are the one that cleared my skies.
[Enhanced Stamina]
Uncommon Trait
You have inordinate amounts of stamina, always relative to your current status, so if you were a human with inordinate stamina and became a dragon you would be a dragon with inordinate stamina.
You are the one that helped me truly become a human.
[Expert Kama Sutra]
Elite Skill
You are an expert in the carnal, being intimately familiar with picking up signs of arousal and pleasuring your partners in bed. Unless your partner is completely frigid, no one will leave your bed unsatisfied, your skill in bed is unmatched by most. If you were given magic you could probably create Eromancy.
So this is why…
[Incubus/Succubus]
Elite Trait
Race Change - You are a dream demon, one that sucks on the vitality of your victim as a Succubus/Incubus. You are more attractive and alluring to your preferred partners. You also possess slightly superhuman stats and increased magical power. You are also able to sense arousal, peek into dreams and subtly influence them as well as shapeshift according to your partner's preferences. The potency of all Lewd abilities and spells are increased.
This is why I want you to live so badly.
[Altar of Air]
Elite Item
HOTA - An altar of fire that collects mana from nature to give birth to spirits of air and lightning, as the owner of the altar these elementals are naturally loyal to you.
It doesn't matter what happens to me.
[Strong Legs]
Uncommon Trait
Your legs are stronger and tougher than average, slightly enhancing your speed and increasing the power behind your kicks substantially.
As long as you can live your dream…
[Racer]
Rare Trait
"It was originally going to be -ist". You possess greatly increased agility, allowing you to move considerably faster with your body and increasing your reflexes and coordination to match.
As long as you can love whatever, do whatever…
[Sign Language]
Trash Skill
You know how to use the basic sign language of this world as well as you can speak your native language.
As long as nothing can stand in your way and you can keep pushing...
[Shadow Armor]
Elite Ability
Allows you to create an armour of shadows around themselves that you can freely alter the shape of, the shadows are very durable and lightweight, while the armour is active your physical abilities are boosted and darkness abilities are more potent.
…Then that's fine with me.
[Hyuga]
Epic Trait
Naruto - You are a member of the Hyuga clan, granting you increased dexterity, energy reserves and fine control over your body and energy. In addition, you possess a natural Byakugan that does not take up an ability slot. You also may or may not have dormant alien-good genes. (Does not give Chakra)
I love you, James.

THE END
So how'd you guys like the prologue? I wanted to shake things up from a traditional chaos gacha story by having the chaos gacha itself already kinda favor the main character.
Anyway, tell me if it's bad, tell me if it's shit, just let me know, alright?

You telling me you just found him out in the dumpster?"
"Yeah, just sleeping in the trash."
"His loss, our gain then."
'What's… What's going on?' James thought, groggily opening his eyes only to be met with a sterile white roof. He turned his head to the right, seeing a thick glass pane and on his left was a variety of medical tools.
He tried to sit up, but couldn't, the straps on his body confining him to the table.
"He's awake already? Lockley, you've been slacking on the anesthesia?" He heard a voice ask through the mirror. Slowly, little by little his mind connected the dots as he figured it out.
'Holy crap, am I getting kidnapped?' He screamed in his mind, beginning to struggle against the binds on his chest. He pushed and pushed, even managing to loosen up the ones on his chest, but the strangest part was that the binds on his legs came off quite easily.
"Shit, how's he already breaking out?" The voice asked, but James could only focus on getting out, managing to tear off his binding with a yell and stand up.
'What the hell is even happening?' He thought, looking around. One thing he immediately noticed was that his vision was perfect, being able to see basically everything in front and somehow around him at the same time. 'DId I get eye surgery or something?'
He couldn't think much of it though as without warning, the only door out of the room was kicked open, revealing two shark-people wearing suits pointing guns at him. Without a warning they shot, aiming directly for his skull for a clean, quick kill.
However, something different happened. Instead of the dead person they'd expect, James saw the bullets moving in almost slow-motion. He weaved and dodged around the two bullets, shocking the two sharks that began immediately firing after.
But it didn't do much for them as James managed to dodge all of that too, astonishing the both of them. James regained his senses faster, picking up the table with medical supplies and throwing at the two people, flinging open the door and immobilizing the both of them.
He slowly walked out of the room, looking down at the two sharks. Without a doubt they were dead, their chests caved in as intestines trailed down from their exposed stomachs and fractured ribcages.
James threw up, heaving in the doorway as his head spun. He couldn't figure out why this was happening, where he was, what he was doing, when all of a sudden he heard a sniffle. He stopped throwing up, paying attention to the hallway instead.
The hallway he was in had a numerous number of doors, all spanning on his side of the hallway. He heard a sniffle again as he slowly regained his composure and began to walk down the halls. Soon, he stopped where the sniffles grew the loudest, attempting to open the door only to discover it was locked.
He wondered what was behind the door so bad, when all of a sudden, he could see. His vision extended past the 360 view of himself and instead went into the room.
Inside of the room was…A woman.
She was very short, standing at about 3'5 with pale white skin as she wore a red and white dress. She was kneeling on the floor, her single eyes closed while her arms and legs were spread apart with golden chains.
She sniffled again and it seemed like she was…Crying in her sleep.
James didn't waste a second, shoulder-bashing the door in an attempt to get it open. When that didn't bear any fruit, he decided to attempt to kick it open, the kick being much more successful and practically making the door fly open.
The room was dark, darker than dark as James had to rely solely on his weird sight in order to navigate the place. He made his way to her without a sound, looking down on her with pity and disgust at the people who trapped the both of them here.
He tried to scale along the walls in an attempt to find a light-switch, but the only thing he could find was a key-rack with a single key. No doubt that was the chain key.
He approached the woman, slowly picking up the chains and unlocking them one by one until she lay on the floor unbound. James went to pick her up, but suddenly heard a loud bang deeper into the hallway. He turned around, attempting to analyze what it was when suddenly he could see the woman's eye opening.
He turned around swiftly, but the moment he did, she was gone, no evidence that she was even there aside from the chains. James was freaked out, already scared by the experimentation he was apparently about to get, but also the weird stuff happening in this place.
He turned away, going out the door and deeper into the hallway, just missing the single eye opening in the darkness following his every move.
He continued to walk down the hallway, kicking in every single door he could find, but every single one of them was empty, even if there was a heavy stench of rot and horrid red coloring inside of the room.
"Just what is this place?" James asked out loud before suddenly straightening up, hearing pairs of footsteps coming towards him. He looked for a place to hide, gazing left and right before looking up and seeing a pipe lining the narrow hallway roof.
He leaped up, much higher than he was expecting and grabbed the pipe before wrapping his legs and entire body around it. He closed his eyes, relying on his 360 vision to help him and steadied his breathing to make himself seem as unnoticeable as possible.
Soon, the footsteps reached the hallway and under him was a squad of 5 fully armored people equipped with large guns and riot shields. "Shit, how the fuck did that bitch escape?" One asked.
"Lockley, Spector and Grant were on it along with the new one–" The other one said, but he could barely finish his sentence before a bloody scream emanated from down the hall. The whole unit moved without saying another world, their guns being hoisted up and ready to fire at a moment's notice.
It was quiet for a minute, only the sounds of beating feet were there before the deafening roar of gunfire replaced it. James didn't know how long he stayed up there, amidst the gunfire and screams before it finally stopped and only one pair of footsteps were left.
The woman came from carnage, blood covering all of her body with her single eyes being half-closed. James prayed that she didn't see him, but she soon stopped walking directly under him and stood there for no reason.
James was prepared to go down and try to bargain with his life, but the woman simply stood there for another second, a smile gracing her blood-stained lips before she kept walking, leaving him behind.
He stayed on the ceiling for another few good minutes, making sure that he was completely safe before dropping down and immediately walking ahead. He was curious about what had happened to the people in the hallway, but judging by the heavy scent of copper, he had a pretty good clue and didn't feel like throwing up again.
Eventually he reached the end of the hallway with a door, a bloody hand covering it. He opened it up, revealing what seemed to be an abandoned store. He walked into a bathroom, turning the water on and splashing it on himself to clear his head while he got a good look at himself for the first time.
His hair was wild and untamed, being a pitch-black that was somehow the same color as his skin. His eyes were grey, the ones on his face that he already knew were there, but also the 2 eyes on both of his shoulders. He knew he was relatively handsome, but this was on another level for him.
That isn't even mentioning that he was half-naked, revealing his toned body along with grey sweatpants without any shoes.
"What the hell is happening?" He asked himself, staring at his new face for a few seconds before looking down at the sink. Under the running water was a black ticket that had somehow appeared.
He grabbed it, reading the text upon it.
Rip me
'I guess, I can't do anything else.' James thought, tearing the ticket in half.

So how'd you like it? I think that hallway scene is honestly my favorite thing I've written, I tried to nail the Resident-evil style of horror and creepyness.
Also who's your favorite character in the hellaverse? My favorite is Adam and you'll definitely see glazing for him later on, but I wanna know what you guys think.
Remember, Fuck Himiko, fuck Junko, Shuichi the GOAT.
