Torrelsav stood in the middle of the stone hall like an entity that had wandered in from a much colder story than the one the rest of us were currently living.
Old Dabok circled him with a childlike curiosity, his rheumy eyes assessing the blue-skinned warrior before us.
The transformation had altered Torrelsav's traditional green hide into a smooth, deep azure—resembling the sky just before dawn.
The cold flames he showed earlier were gone for now, dormant beneath his new skin, and waiting for the active violence of his berserk state to call them back.
"In all my winters," Dabok whispered finally, tapping his shamanic staff against the floor. "Never once have my eyes beheld an orc with such changes. The elements have rewritten your very clay, boy."
