"Yes it is indeed possible for us to deploy an antenna to communicate with earth. but we can not deploy the largest one that is deployable, we can only deploy the smallest one. Because the largest one will be visible from earth with normal telescopes. And we can only deploy the smallest one in a location that is not visible from Earth. Also it's position needs to be adjusted periodically so it stays hidden from Earth." Since al the obstacles has been destroyed it is now possible for or to deploy at least the small antennas for communication with Earth.
" Since we can at least deploy the smallest one how reduction of delay can we expect?" Shiro asked Minerva.
"We can reduce it by around sixty percent. Which will not make us be able to communicate in real time but it is still better than the delay we have." Minerva turned around and pointed to the display showing a cylindrical object deployed from the ship. "In fact I have already deployed one as you can see."
Shiro looked at the display and saw the object slowly unfurl itself into a round satellite shaped and adjusting it's position with the help of small ion thrusters built in it.
"Good job." Shiro was happy that Minerva did it by herself as it was really not possible for him to give her every instruction. She needs to do things on her own as much as possible as there were too many things going on that needed to be taken care of.
"My pleasure." Minerva gave a small smile towards Shiro.
"After the satellite is in place I want you to find an out of commissioned satellite around earth which still works and establish communication through that somewhat. That way it would be harder for anyone to track us. From there I want you to collect data about the current Earth and compare it to the data we have here and see how much of it we can actually use."
Earth had many satellite around it's orbit which were decommissioned for various reasons. But some of those satellites can still be used by Minerva as they were not completely dead yet. It was much safer to gain access to Earth's network through such satellites than to gain access through an active one.
"Understood. I'll do that." Minerva looked at Shiro and mudded her head and replied.
"Also I do not know if you will be able to do it or not but I want you to create identities for me and my family members. The digital ones and create some reliable digital footprints." As he was planning to return to earth somehow he needed an identity and some solid history.
"It is indeed possible. I will just have make a simple copy of my AI function and it will be able to do things on it's own after receiving my command."
Since real time communication was still impossible even with the help of the communication antennae, Minerva could simply make an artificial intelligence and make it do the tasks.
Just like the one deployed for the space agencies. The only difference with this one would that it would be somewhat of a clone of Minerva albeit in a very simple form. But it would be able to do multitudes of work by itself after receiving the command and deliver report at a later time which works to mitigate some of the drawbacks of the communication delay.
