Ling Chen secretly shook his head. Since Su Mei already said so, he couldn't very well thicken his skin and keep staying.
"Alright then."
Ling Chen slowly stood up from his seat and said, "Since Master Su doesn't need an old friend's help, then I won't impose any longer. I'll take my leave!" With that, he turned and walked toward the exit of the council hall. When he reached the door, Ling Chen suddenly thought of something. He stopped, turned back to look at Su Mei, and said, "Master Su, I almost forgot one thing. Do you know the Su Family in Beijing?"
Hearing this, Su Mei's expression didn't change as she said, "No. What does that Su Family in Beijing have to do with my Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion?"
The corner of Ling Chen's mouth curled up. He smiled and shook his head. "Nothing, just asking." When he finished speaking, he said nothing more and walked straight out of the council hall.
