Chapter 27 - The Glory

Cool gentle breeze brushed Zhang Lei's sleeping face even though the sun is already up. It's already midmorning but Zhang Lei is still in bed. She opened her eyes and adjusted to the brightness from the outside. A blissful smile was plastered on her face as she recalled the events that took place over the weekend. Their wedding and the first time they shared their firsts together in their island. Its the only time that she did not regret buying the island. It's Li Jei and her own shared paradise. She went to the glass windows gazed outside at the picturesque view while someone suddenly snaked his arms around her. "Good morning hon." Her husband said after giving a peck on her cheek. "Did you had a good sleep?" "Hmmm..." she replied.
Let's go down stairs and eat before we head back to the city.
"Honey I don't want to go back yet. Let's stay here a bit longer." she said coquettishly to her husband. Li Jei smiled it was the first time that his wife was being like this. As a head of a large business company and has an aura of being fierce in business dealings right now was like a little girl. He liked this side of her and knew that this will not be the last time that he will see this from now on. He loved his wife very much and he wants to dote on her as well. "I want to stay a bit longer too but we need to prepare a lot since we will leave in a weeks time for our honeymoon." Zhang Lei understood what her husband meant. Being CEOs they have great responsibilities and should ensure that they will not leave unfinished work before they will have a two week leave for honeymoon. Her dad will be seeing things over her end while Li Jei's vice president will take care of his company while he is on leave. After they finished breakfast they boarded the helicopter and head for the city.

Only a few knew about their wedding so they went about their respective work without a fuss. Friday night came, Zhang Lei was preparing their luggage for the trip. While Li Jei was busy doing something on his laptop. "Don't bring too much hon, we will just shop clothes there when we arrive." He said while still looking at his laptop. "I thought you were so engrossed in whatever you are doing in your laptop and you did not notice me." she smiled and stopped what she was doing and approached him. She hugged him from his back and peeked at what he was doing. She was shocked at what she saw. "Honey! I thought you were so busy with important stuff that's why I did not bother you to help me pack and this is what you have been doing all this time!" She got annoyed and vented it by tickling her husband's side. She knew his weakness. "Hahaha honey stop it, it tickles! Help!" Li Jei burst into loud laughter as she continued to tickle him. "That's what you get for not helping me hubby!" They both laughed at their childishness.

The newly weds boarded the cruiship hand in hand. When they arrived at the entrance Zhang Lei was mesmerized by what she saw. "Wow!" is the only word that she could utter. A huge chandelier made of gold and crystals hanging magnificently above welcomed them. It's like they step into a luxurious hotel the only thing is, it is located in the sea. The colors from the walls to ceilings and the whole facade emited state of the art and very well combination of palets make one's eyes wander.
A man is standing waiting for them holding two glasses of champagne. "Welcome aboard to The Glory, Mr. and Mrs Li. My name is Jack and I will be your personal butler during your stay here with us." He offered the wine to them. Each of them took one glass of wine and took a sip. They were still both speechless of the way they were welcomed in this cruiship. "Please come with me I will show you to your suite. You luggages are already brought up. If you need anything please don't hesitate to call me anytime." Jack lead them to their room. They entered their suite and Jack left them after. Their room was situated on the top deck and it has a balcony overlooking the amenities below.They could see a huge pool that is an olympic size and other smaller pools for kids. there are lounges on the sides and there is also a very tall slide.
"Honey, I still can't fathom how perfect this ship is. Look at our suite it is so beautiful. Zhang Lei could not help but touched the walls and she was surprised that it is covered with leather. There was also a huge vase with fresh flowers on it situated in the table in the living room.
"Honey let's go shower first." Li Jei hugged her with a michievous grin on his face. He don't really care about how their suite. He is only focused on his wife. Zhang Lei knew what her husband is up to. She did not refused him since she was so happy right now. They showered in the huge gold plated tub and of course they made use of the lavish bathroom with their lovemaking.
They were spent and took a nap until evening.
Li Jei woke up first. He gazed at the beautiful figure in his arms. He smiled and trailed kisses on her face. Zhang Lei stirred and smiled her eyes closed. His lips came to hers and they shared a gentle passionate kiss and eventually it made things heat up and ended with another round of lovemaking before they got up and prepared for dinner. In their first night at the cruiship they will dine with the other guests in their very exclusive dining room. They need to dress elegantly. Zhang Lie was surprised to see a very gorgeous evening gown which was hanging in their living room together with a tux. Jack placed their clothes for the night while they were resting which of course according to Li Jei's plan. He surprised his wife yet again. She excitedly put on the gown. A set of jewelry comes along with it which compliments the gown. Li Jei is all dressed and is waiting for his wife. She emerged from their room looked very beautiful. She was smiling and approached her husband. "How do I look?" she asked. Li Jei could not say a word but just hang his mouth open. It says it all. She beamed. "Come on hon, we don't want to be late." Zhang Lei hugged his arm and they walked towards the door. They were waited by Jack outside. "Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Li. The dinner starts at seven and at nine you will watch a show in the theater. And there are also a lot of other activities that you can enjoy after that." He led them to the dining area entrance and bowed before wishing them a wonderful night.
They enjoyed the sumptuous dinner. Together with the other guests, they were greeted by he chef itself. Although they kept a low profile, some guests have recognize who they were. They were also businessmen whom they have had business with. And the fact that both have been showcased in prominent magazines both local and international their faces are quite known. Some of them make glances towards the couple althrough out their dinner.
They were aware of this but they did not let it bother them. They continued eating. "So much for a low profile" Zhang Lei said. "Don't get troubled hon, let's just enjoy our dinner." Li Jei said. They continued eating not letting the others bother their time. While they were leaving, an old guy approached them. "Pardon my intrusion but you are Zhang Lei the CEO of the Zhang Enterprises right? I am President Lu, Lu Yen's grandfather. Zhang Lei could not remember right away but whenhe mentioned Lu Yen she remembered right away. "Oh, President Lu, my apologies for not recognizing you right away. How are you doing? she replied. They shook hands. The old man did not bother with Li Jei. He was focused on her. "I am doing great. You look more lovely dear." His compliment made Zhang Lei blushed. "Lu Yen is with me right now, why don't you join us?"
Li Jei was astound by this old man's thick face. 'He wants to snatch my wife for his grandson!' He wanted to kick this old man. He will definitely never forget this old chap. He moved closer to his wife and placed his arm on her waist. "Hon, we should leave now the show is about to start." He gave her a very sweet smile but his eyes showed annoyance towards the old man. Zhang Lei read what he was saying. "Oh yes, pardon us President Lu, my husband and I will leave first or we will be late for the show." She placed her arms on his waist too showing their affection for each other. The old man smiled. "Can we go together to the theater that's where we are going too?" The old man did not give up right away. "Grandfather" Lu Yen called him. He approached them. He heard everything and he knew that the couple wanted to be left alone. "Grandpa, mom wants to talk to you. Come with me." He tried to pull his grandfather away but old man did not budge. "Yen, it's good that you're here. Remember Zhang Lei, she was the woman that I arranged for you to get married." "Grandpa stop talking nonsense. I apologise for my grandfather's intrusion of your night." He apologized to the couple. "Grandpa let's go. Let's leave them alone." With that he hurriedly pulled away his grandfather. "Grandpa can't you see Zhang Lei is already married. Why did you have to tell them about me and her that way?"
"My grandson is better looking and far from that guy in terms of status and looks. You suit best with that girl not that wimpy guy."
Lu Yen chuckled "Oh grandpa you did not recognise that man and you called him wimpy? Honestly I could not be at par with that fellow"
"What do you mean? Who was that guy?" His grandfather has no clue.
"He is Li Jei the CEO of Li Technologies the only grandson of your old pal. He is also a medical doctor. Before he went into business he was finishing his residency in neurosurgery. He was known to be the next brilliant neurosurgeon in our time. He might have finished his residency and became a full pledged neurosurgeon but he is not practicing anymore. I heard he was called to operate a very complicated case and he saved the person's life"
"Whaa... how did you know all about that young man?!"
Lu Yen chuckled. "Actually he was featured several times in various business magazines." The old man was totally surprised. "Hmmm so he is his grandson. Well I still choose you over him."
Lu Yen laughed. "I know you would say that. Now come on forget about it. Let's look for mom and the others.

Hands intertwined, the couple left the dining area and walked towards the theater. "Did you had a blind date with that guy before?" Li Jei asked. "Honestly, I have a very vague memory about it. Although his name was familiar. I don't know honey." She looked at her husband. "hmm..." was Li Jei's reply.
"I recognized that old man. I think he was my grandfather's bestfriend."
"Is that so? Small world"
They entered the theater and was led by an usher to their seats.
After the show ended they went outside to get some fresh air while exploring the deck.
They retired to their suite at midnight.
The next day, they arrived in Monte Carlo and they were given the whole day to explore the place. It was warm in this country right now so Zhang Lei wore a suitable dress as they walked in the streets. They bought some stuff as they explore shops. Zhang Lei enjoyed it very much while her husband was too supportive of her as he was the one carrying all the bags. They bought some stuff for their family as well. As the day went by, the couple went back to the ship.
The next day their ship left for another destination, Italy.
The husband and wife enjoyed their cruise very much. They enjoyed the site and scenes and took a lot of pictures all the time and not to mention lots and lots of souvenirs.
The twelve-day cruise ended and they travelled back home with their private jet. They made precious memories during their honeymoon.

On the other side of the world, in Maldives there was a unique couple enjoying the sun and prestin white beach. They were good looking men half naked with great musculature and abs. This duo attracted women in the beach and they kept on looking at this gorgeous men.
There were some who had the guts to approach them but they just smiled.
"I am so over it. Let's head back to our hut right now." Oliver said.
"Why are you jealous?" Shen teased him.
"I can not stand this women hovering and disturb my peace!"
"Will you relax, let them be just enjoy the moment. You know who I adored the most. They could not compare." Shen smiled at him.
Olive was appeased after hearing his words.
"I believe you." Oliver replied laughing.
"Oh I want to have more tan when we get back." Shen said.
Zhang Lei was true to her words. She sent them to Maldives in a two week all expense paid vacation.

Zhang Lei and Li Jei arrived back home safely. Exhaustion caught up with them after their honeymoon. Spent two days just staying at home resting. Their parents came by and greeted them. They also gave them their presents.

"Sissy!!!! Xiu Yeng was shouting over the phone when Zhang Lei answered her call. "Ouch my ear drum!"
"How was your honeymoon? I heard that you went to a cruise with the Glory. That must be awesome staying in the most expensive cruiship in the world! Let's meet and catch up." Xiu Yeng said. "Sure let's have dinner tonight at our place. Bring your husband along." Zhang Lei said. "Okey, see you then."

That night they enjoyed a sumptuous meal. "Hey Li Jei don't forget we need to attend our high school reunion next weekend. Both of you should come." Wung Jun said. "Yeah sis, we should attend. It is the centennial celebration of our school. It should be fun reminiscing our young days, you know... where it all started" Xiu Yeng added winking at Zhang Lei.
"Oh the younger days when a certain someone did not eat lunch and went to the library because of jealousy!" Zhang Lei teased her best friend. "Oh so now we are revealing secrets! Well who was that certain girl that kissed her crush in the park and run away after kissing him? Hmmm?" Hahaha they were laughing but Zhang Lei became a red tomato and glanced towards her husband who was smiling at her. Zhang Lei was being bashful. Her husband caressed her red face. He was also reminded of that time. How petrified he was after that kiss. But he was extremely happy.
"I remember that day. I was a bit jealous of you and Shen. But it turned out differently, I was so glad" Zhang Lei was shocked by her husband's confession. She chuckled. "Really?! You're so cute" She hugged her husband's arm. Wung Jun was laughing at his bestfriend.
"Actually he was a hunk before but I sensed something else about him. And I was not wrong." Wug Jun said. Xiu Yeng elbowed her husband, "Why didn't you say something about it?"
"I was a bit threatened by him too. He was close with you too!" Xiu Yeng stared at him for a long time! Both Zhang Lei and Li Jei laughed at them.
Back at Maldives, Shen sneezed four times in a row. "What's wrong with you?" Oliver asked.
"I don't know someone must be talking about me!"
