Five ball of flames that hit Ban body are not doing anything to his body. Because his body are trained to withstand any kind of attack by Ban. Sure Ban can use a protective layer of Ki to protect himself from harm. But just in case he did not have any Ki or energy to made a barrier, then there is nothing he can do to protect his body, so he train his body until his body can adapt any kind of attack.

A blood are coming out of Keitarou mouth, he already protect his body with ten layers of Ki barrier. Plus his body supposed to be as strong as steel when he was using Yi Jinjing blue phase. But Ban attack are still strong enough to hurt him so badly.

The Golden Bell Shield are not strong enough to withstand the attack from Ban. But it was good enough to protect Keitarou from a fatal wound.
"First Yi Jinjing and now a Golden Bell Shield? You use two of four Shaolin lost Cultivation Tehnique one by one," Ban said smiling. "But to defend your self from my attack atleast you must to mastering the Golden Bell Shield to the nine phase!"
The Golden Bell Shield are cracking with one attack from Ban right hand punch. And Ban even did not Ki to reinforce his right hand.
His right hand alone have two million Kilogram pressing power and it was more than enough to destroy the Golden Bell Shield.
