Growing up is realizing that no matter what you try to do, there has and will always be someone better than you. Even if you reach the peak, there would have been people in the past that could have easily surpassed you given the same circumstances and there will be people in the future who will.
When considering how others already have an advantage over you, it's time to realize, you don't have time to be getting depressed and wasting away. You need to lock in.
