**Later that day...**
Ah, the beautiful sunshine and the gentle breeze passing by. I wonder where their destinations lie. Lying on the soft grass, watching birds soar through the sky, time seems to crawl by as I ponder and reflect.
But enough of that. Back to where I left off earlier. The age-old question—well, it was more of a joke, but the question of whether magic exists or not has been answered. Yes, answered. And honestly? I'm not sure I like the answer. It does... not exist.
Sorry, everyone. It seems I have nothing left to live for. Goodbye, world. I hope you continue on happily without me.
---
*Cough* Yeah, no. Not happening. Suicide is a one-way ticket to hell, so nope. Besides, magic *does* exist. I saw proof of it earlier, before I fell asleep. A maid—or at least, I think she's a maid—cast wind magic to dry the clothes. Unless, of course, my eyes were playing tricks on me. But I swear I saw the glow and the rush of air toward the clothesline as my mother carried me back to my room.
Speaking of which, I've just realized something—albeit a little late. My room is literally connected to theirs. It's just a small section cordoned off by a tall fence, with the only entrance being through their room. Overprotective parents, huh? That's going to be *so much fun*. Absolutely thrilling.
---
Magic? Check. Swords and weapons? Check. A different world? Check. A protagonist transported to another world? Check. Oh my God, it's like I'm living in one of those novels where the MC gets sent to another world—except I didn't exactly *want* to be sent here. If there's some author back on Earth writing a story eerily similar to my situation, I hope they send the royalties to my family. What? They're writing about me without permission, tweaking the setting a bit? Fine, but at least compensate my family since I'm not on Earth anymore.
---
Now, onto the main topic that's left me utterly confused: How the hell do I use mana—or ether, essence, or whatever it's called here? I've been meditating and all, but what's the actual way to *sense* mana? No idea. Guess I'll have to figure it out on my own. As I pondered that, another thought invaded my mind: Do you need to be born with the ability to sense mana to use it? Is it an innate talent? If so, do I even have it?
Then there's the language barrier. I wish I could learn the spoken language faster or at least figure out which Earth language it resembles. Why? For reference, obviously.
*Grrr* Ah, I'm hungry. Chris used *Cry*. Mother appeared... or not. Chris used *Uproar*. Mother finally appeared, her hair slightly disheveled and her dress a bit rumpled. Hmm, I wonder why. Anyway, she picked me up, rocked me for a while, and I stopped crying. Then she moved on to breastfeeding me. As I'm being fed, I find myself recalling everything I've read about magic back on Earth. For obvious reasons, I'm revisiting the memories of the novels I've read.
Ah, this is going to be a long journey, but it's something I have to do. So, let's see. Magic is the use of mana—or any impersonal source of energy, both internal and external—to create, shape, and manipulate that energy through methods like spoken incantations, mystic items (spellbooks, charms, talismans, weapons, etc.), to achieve the desired effects.
That's all I can remember for now. I'm sure more will come to me later, or I'll be taught about it eventually. Moving on, there are many types of magic: Elemental, Arcane, and more.
---
**Elemental Magic:**
Elemental magic users command the forces of nature. Some can bend water, others mold soil, conjure fire, or create electric currents. Elemental mages are versatile and can cause significant damage.
- **Pyrokinesis:** Mastery over fire.
- **Aquakinesis:** Mastery over water.
- **Geokinesis:** Mastery over earth.
- **Aerokinesis:** Mastery over air.
- **Fulgurkinesis:** Mastery over lightning.
---
**Arcane Magic:**
The word "arcane" means known or understood by very few. True to its definition, arcane magic is poorly understood even by those who wield it. Arcane magic draws power from the arcane realm—a place of magic outside our typical reality.
- **Enerkinesis:** Mastery over magical energy.
- **Summoning:** Ability to manifest creatures.
- **Animating:** Ability to impart life to inanimate objects.
- **Binding:** Ability to fuse arcane entities with a human host, granting new magical powers.
---
There are other types of magic too, but those are the ones I remember for now. I'm feeling sleepy again. Chris is tired and drowsy. I wonder why I feel so exhausted despite doing nothing. Maybe it's because my brain is still underdeveloped? Whatever. I don't care enough to think about it.
Chris used *Yawn* on himself. It's super effective. Chris fell asleep. Good night. *zzz...*
