Before leaving for the WAA Appreciation Ball, Lucie looks at herself in her mirror. She wore a red, fiery dress with a slit down her right side.
"Wooo, I didn't say this before, but I look good. Red is definitely my color." She said.
"Wow, sis. Can you be anymore stuck up? You're definitely not selling it enough." Akatsuki said, jokingly, as she propped herself in Lucie's door. She wore a white blouse, a black skirt that stop just below the knees.
"Akatsuki! What are you doing here?" Lucie said, shocked.
"Enjoying the show," Akatsuki answered, smiling.
"Haha, very funny. What do you want?"
"I just came to tell you that Kana and the others are outside waiting for you."
"Oh! Alright, I'll be there in a minute." Lucie said as walked toward her nightstand and picked up a wristband and a small necklace with a ring on it.
"Wow, that's a beautiful necklace, sis. Where did you get it?" Akatsuki said.
"I don't remember. It was suddenly here when I got back here yesterday." Lucie answered.
"What! Really, Isn't that dangerous? What if it's cursed?"
"Don't worry, Akatsuki. I already tested if for dangerous magic and curses. Nothing showed up. It's completely safe."
Suddenly, the ring glowed a little. Worried about that glow, Akatsuki rushed towards Lucie and tried to force the necklace off of her.
"What the heck, Akatsuki?" Lucie said as she was pushed onto the bed.
Akatsuki threw the necklace out the window. "Really, you didn't see that strange glow coming from that ring. It was obviously a trap placed on it. You should be thanking me."
Lucie sighed. "I guess you're right. Thank sis." She said as she got up. She then hugged Akatsuki. Suddenly, she hears Jasmine yell out for her. "Right, they're waiting for me. See you at the ball." Lucie said before leaving the room.
"Thank God, I was able to get rid of that thing before the spell was set. Just three more weeks and I get my sister back." Akatsuki thought to herself.
Twenty minutes later, Lucie and the others arrive at the castles, where the WAA Appreciation Ball was held. Once inside, Lucie immediately felt the many glares from the other attendants. A crowd of nobles and highly respectable WAA veterans quickly rushed towards her.
"Amazing! Truly Amazing. To fight against mankind's greatest enemies and survive to talk about it. Only the elites of the world can do that." One of the nobles said.
"Of course! I expect nothing less from a Tachibana. Your parents must be proud." A veteran said as he grabs Lucie's hand.
"Yes, that victory against the Demon king was a big step towards world peace."
"I wouldn't say victory. It was a stroke of luck that I survived that fight. Please, Excuse me." Lucie said as she forced through the crowd.
"Well, look at that, mom is actually popular among humans. She doesn't act like that in the future." Yukio said.
"None of our moms likes the limelight of being royalty. Hell, none of us do." Azarel said.
"Now that think about it. Being royalty do have more problems than benefits. Especially when it comes to…
Azarel looks at Yukio with an intense look.
"Okay, I'll shut up now. I didn't mean to piss you off by bringing up that memory."
"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm perfectly fine." Azarel said.
"Yeah, of course. You're perfectly fine." Yukio replied, sarcastically.
"What are you two doing here? The world's most powerful people are here for this event." Lucie said, quietly, while walking up behind Azarel.
"We're here, because you're in danger. And, without you, I w…
Azarel quickly covers Yukio's mouth. "What happened to last resort? Seriously! She mustn't know her future. And we definitely can't tell her anything at a large event like this party." Azarel telepathically yelled.
"What do you mean I'm in danger? Who is attacking me? Is it Reo or Anko?" Lucie asked?"
Azarel sighed and grabbed Lucie by the arm, pulling her through the crowd. Suddenly, everything around them turned gray.
"What happening? What did you do?" Lucie asked worriedly.
"I brought you into a rift in dimensions to answer and explain what's going on. With this, we can try to protect timeline a little."
"Plus, we can do this in secret without anyone noticing." Yukio said.
"Okay, how about you start by explaining you are?" Lucie said, commandingly.
"Alright. I guess we should start with this." Azarel said as she touched Lucie's forehead with a finger. Suddenly, Lucie felt a weight lift off her.
"What did you just do?" Lucie asked. Then, she felt a strong headache, causing her to fall to her knees.
"Z, what's going on?" Yukio asked as she knelt beside Lucie.
"She's getting all of her memories back and her mind is purging the mind altering magic from her. She should be okay in a few minutes."
"Wow, and you said I was the reckless one. You could've drove her insane with that technique."
"Well, unlike you, I can limit my powers with precision."
"So, is that why Momma Anko compare you to Dad?" Yukio said, teasingly.
"I could say the same thing about you. Momma Lucie says you're more like him wh…
"What!? Mom?" Lucie yelled, before fainting from shock.
Azarel slaps her forehead and sighs. "Stupid!" she said, embarrassed.
"No, that was both of our mistakes." Yukio said as she got up.
Three minutes later, Lucie wakes up on Azarel's lap. Quickly getting up, Lucie gets into a fighting stance.
"Calm down, mom. Trust me, you don't want wake Azarel up like that. She's a monster when she's asle…
Suddenly, Yukio's mouth was covered by a metal plate.
"It's rude to talk about a someone while they're sleeping." Azarel said as her eyes were still closed. "Glad to see you're awake. But you should move sparingly. You're still recovering from regaining your memory and powers. So, take it slowly." she asked as she stood up.
"Well speaking of, I do feel like was asleep for at least a decade." Lucie said.
"Well, that's probably because you're too used to other dimensions' time flows. It takes a while to adjust to them. Especially after having your mind and powers sealed and manipulated." Yukio said.
"To think someone can do that to my mind so easily. But who is that powerful? And why go through all the trouble? They literally went to hell just find me."
"That's for you to find out. We can't interfere with the past too much. Don't want to change anything too important by mistake." Azazel said.
"Right, don't want that. Anyways, thanks for the help. Azarel… Yukio… you really saved me." Lucie said. "Wow, my daughters. They're just as amazing as their father. Hmph, Azarel looks a lot like her mother. Well, truthfully, Anko looked like her mother and Grandma Meliona too. Maybe it's a Jan-gu trait." Lucie lost in her thoughts.
"Uh," Yukio said.
"Hm, what is it?" Lucie asked as she looked up, seeing Azarel blush and Yukio smirk. "You heard me." She asked.
"Yeah, We're extremely sensitive to telepathy." Azarel answered.
"Anyways, Mom, can you not tell this to young Dad or young Mom? They don't discover they're time travel abilities for some time after we're born. And we'll love to keep it that way." Yukio said as Azarel composed herself.
"Sure, but tell me… who was born first out of the two of you?" Lucie said.
"Well technically, we were born at the exact same time as our other sibling. A sort of miracle among miracles thing."
"Really?! At the exact same time! That means Reo must've ha…
"Mom! Please! Stop! Telepathic Sensitivity…Remember." Yukio and Azarel yelled as they cover their ears.
"Yep, they're definitely our kids. And Azarel especially reminds me of Anko." Lucie said, smiling.
"Okay, let's get you back to the party before anyone notices." Azarel says as she walks away, hiding her blushing face.
"Huh, I don't think I've ever seen her blush so much." Yukio thought as she followed Azarel, smiling.
"Yep, definitely ours." Lucie said as she seen a flashback of herself and Anko laughing together. She, then, rushed to them, but appeared back at the ball. Lucie looked around to find her two future daughters. Instead, she'd seen a large crowd gathered at the center of the room. Curious, she made her way over, only to hear yelling.
"How dare you insult a noble like me. I am the eldest son of the high esteemed Thames family, Alexander Thames. You, a lowly soldier, should be begging me to talk to you." A young nobleman yells out.
"Really, dude. The way you're acting. Can you blame her? You're what most normal girls would call… Unwanted, Undesirable… What's another word for ugly in both in and out?" Devon asks.
"Come on, Devon. You don't have to put it like that. That's too harsh." Jasmine said as she grabs Devon's arm.
"But, you know it true, sis. Besides, he made a little, snide remark about our little sadist, Roxy. No one does that without repercussions."
"HEY! What the hell that's supposed to mean, Devon?!" Roxy yells outs.
"SHHHHH, I'm trying to help you out. Just stay quiet for now."
"Yeah right. Help… we both know you're enjoying this." Roxy said with a sarcastic tone.
The crowd laughed softly, enraging Alexander.
"Y-you dare make fun me! A Thames! I will have your heads!" Alexander screamed as he attacked.
"Nobles… So arrogant yet so weak." Lucie said as she caught his fist telekinetically.
"Lucie," Devon, Jasmine, Roxy, and Rana thought.
"Well, if it isn't the guest of honor, Lucie Tachibana, the flaming Tomboy. The ugliest bi*** in the WAA." Alexander said, smugly. Suddenly, his hand broke.
"Oh shit!" Everyone thought.
"Ugly…Ugly…ugly. You have the gall to call ME! UGLY!" Lucie said as her hair enflamed.
"Everyone! Get back!" Jasmine yelled as she creates a barrier.
"Lucie, calm down. Don't flare up here. There too many civilians here." Devon said worriedly.
"Don't worry, Dee. I'll just teach him some manners." Lucie said as she summoned a flame to her hand.
"Dee? Wait… she summoned that fire effortlessly. Did she regain her memories?" Devon thought as Lucie walked towards Alexander.
"What is the meaning of this?" Sora said as he walked into the room with a commanding tone and aura.
"Your majesty, glad you're here. These ruffians have insulted my family and injured me. Please issue out divine justice to these misfits." Alexander said innocently.
"I hope you're not telling me, your king, what he should do, Thames." Sora said to Alexander with a powerful aura.
"What? Of course not, your majesty. I would never do that." Alexander said, nervously.
"Good. Now, what's going on? Who do I punish for ruining a perfectly good night?" Sora said as his aura diminished.
"Woah, since when was Sora this strong? Almost gave me chills down my spine." Lucie thought as she calmed down, extinguishing her flaming hair.
Sora looked at Lucie and walked to her. "Are you okay, Beautiful?" he asked as he bowed and took her hand and kissed it.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine." Lucie replied. "Gross. What's wrong with him?" she thought.
"Good, I wouldn't want you to get hurt any more than you have already." He said before kissing her hand again.
"This is so weird. And gross." Lucie thought as she tried to hide her disgust for Sora's actions.
"Aw, would you look at that? My two favorite people… getting along." Kana said as she walked up behind Sora.
"Yeah," Lucie said, forcing a smile. "Wouldn't call it getting along? More uncomfortable greeting one another." Lucie said aloud, mistakenly.
"What?"
"Whoops, nothing. If you excuse me, I need some fresh air." Lucie said as she walked away.
"Lucie Tachibana. You are the only one who would treat royalty that way. And for that reason, you will be mine." Sora thought as he looked at Lucie walking outside.
Out on the balcony, Lucie took a deep breath and look up at the night sky. Immediately, she remembers the night before her wedding. That night, the three brides stood on a balcony at the Jan-gu Castle and looked up at the beautiful, warm red mood in the night sky and made to promises each other. Which made Lucie and the others happy. But, the moon in the Earth's night sky was different. It made her feel like she was being watched by someone or something.
"Are you okay?" A teenage girl asked as she walked up beside Lucie. Lucie looked at the girl. She was a 19-year-old girl with long, silver hair. She wore a beautiful, blue and white dress, that complimented her silver hair. Rivaling goddesses, her beauty outshines almost everyone at the event. Which made Lucie wonder how she went unnoticed or how she couldn't sense her arrival.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. I just needed some air, and time away from the stuffiness." Lucie answered, nervously.
"Well, that's a relief. For a second, I thought you, Lucie Lucrada, one of the Jan-gu Queens, would be shaken by some pathetic demigod's flirting." The girl said.
"Oh please, I would ne… Wait, what did you call me? Lucie Lucrada? How do you know that name?" Lucie said as she raised her hand, creating an isolated space around them.
"Well, I should introduce myself. My name is Maevis Lucrada, Reo's …
"Don't tell me. Reo and Anko already had a child! They were supposed to wait for our honeymoon after their training."
"No, No, I'm not their child. I'm a new kind of being created by them. You can call me a Guardian."
"Guardian?" Lucie said, confused.
"A powerful race like the Jan-gu created to help the universe when the royal family can't. And, right now, I'm acting as a bodyguard for you."
"What do you mean when the royal family can't?"
"For example, right now, Reo and Anko are handling business in Heaven, the God's dimension, and the Shadows, the Youkai dimension. Not to mention, the refugees that is being transported to Caleaxia."
"Oh. Well, when you put it like that. I understand. Reo and Anko are heroes after all. I can't monopolize them. They're the universe's king and queen." Lucie said.
"Lucie, you're also the universe's queen. And the universe needs you also." Maevis said as she places a hand on Lucie's shoulder.
"You're right, and the best thing I can do right now is fix the problems that's here in the Earth Dimension." Lucie said as she mistakenly releases the barrier.
"And I'll be here to help." Maevis said excitedly.
"Great,"
"Who are you talking to?" Another girl said as she walked out onto the balcony. Like Maevis, she was beautiful, instead, with a white ponytail that touched her back.
"I'm talking to…
"Lucie, humans can't see me. A passive ability that Guardians are blessed with. Beings that a related to Gods can't see us. "
"Huh, that doesn't sound Reo or Anko. They're usually less paranoid." Lucie thought.
"Uh…Tachibana," the girl said, worriedly.
"Right! I… mean… I was daydreaming."
"Huh, I would've never thought the immortal Flame could be so empty-minded." She said.
"Oh, I didn't know that the heiress to the Nova family could be so blunt, Rei Lin Nova. I mean Ice Queen." Lucie replied.
"Why would you call me by that ridiculous name? Seriously! Why did they give me such an insulting name!?" Rei Lin screamed out.
"Calm down, foolish girl!" A twenty-year-old woman said as she punched ReiLin's head. "They gave you that codename for your extraordinary skills as a soldier and ice magic user. You should be proud of it. Some of the soldiers don't get one until after they're dead." She said. This is twenty-year-old woman was Rei Lin's older sister, Winter Nova. She's one of the most renowned members of the WAA elites, The Executives. They're the ones sent to deal with the most dangerous class Corrupted, SSSSS class.
"Ow! Winter! Why hit me?"
"Because you're acting like both a cocky jerk and an arrogant fool in front of the hero."
"Hero? What are they talking about?" Lucie thought.
"I don't know." Maevis replied.
"Uh, I'm no hero. Trust me, anyone could've done what I did." Lucie said, hoping someone would tell her.
"Really? You fought against the Demon Swordsman to a standstill. Except for the king, I don't know anyone who can do that. Maybe?" Winter said.
"I fought Reo! Why? How? When?" Lucie thought excitedly and worriedly while making a worried expression.
"What's wrong, Lucie? You look like you're in distress." Rei Lin asked worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I think… I had enough for tonight. I'm going home. Excuse me." Lucie said before flying off. "I need to call Reo or Anko as soon as possible. Wait… Where's my ring." She thought as flew to Hikojima's Capital.
"Huh, she must've been feeling bad. I hope she's okay." Rei Lin said.
"Yeah," Winter said. "Maybe, I should go check on her." Winter thought to herself.
"You don't need to worry about her, Momma Winter." Yukio said as she and Azarel appeared behind them floating.
"Momma?"
"Yeah, she wanted to expose the future to one of our mothers. Anyways, we need to tell you and auntie something." Azarel said as she held out her hands. Reluctantly, Winter and Rei Lin grabbed Azarel's hand. Instantly, they all are transported into the space between dimensions.
"Woah, where are we?" Winter asked excitedly.
At Hikojima's capital's house, Lucie lands in front of the gate. Looking around, Lucie didn't see anyone around, and walked through the gate. However, before she could say anything, everyone there excitedly charged her.
"Lady Lucie!" They all screamed as they bombarded her.
"Whhhyyy?" Lucie cried out painfully as they fell onto the ground.
"Well, sister Lucie, all of us were worried about you when we lost our connection to you." Saiya said as she walked up.
"Really?" Lucie said, surprised.
"Yeah, and even my sister was worried."
"Speaking of, where is Artemis? I'm surprised she wasn't one of the first a part of this dogpile."
"Well, she'd locked herself in her room and hasn't come out since."
"What!? Why?" Lucie asked worriedly.
Walking down a hallway, Lucie and Saiya talk about what happened to Artemis.
"Artemis? Artemis, sweetie, please come out. I promise I didn't try to ignore you. And I definitely didn't try to abandon you or your sister. It just your father was…
Lucie knocked on the door. "Artemis, it's me. Open the door." She said.
"La… Queen Lucie! I wasn't expecting you. I must look like a…
"Don't worry, I'll talk to Artemis." Lucie said. However, the door didn't open. "Okay, we'll do this the other way." Lucie said as she irradiated a powerful aura. Lucie then formed a small flame in her hand and thrusted forward.
"Wait! Queen Lucie, don't! You might burn down the building." Kara said.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Artemis charged out, knocking Lucie over.
"Whhhyyy?" Lucie cried out in pain.
"Lucie, it's really you. Thank goodness. You're okay." Artemis said as she hugged Lucie tightly.
"Sorry for worrying you."
"You should be. I was a few days away from destroying the capital." Artemis mumbled into Lucie's ear.
"Aw, you would destroy a country for me. That's makes me so happy." Lucie said.
"Really? You're teasing me right now. I was extremely worried about you, you know. After our connection got destroyed, I thought of the worst scenario." Artemis said.
"Artemis," Lucie said. "I've never seen her like this. She's usually so flirty and domineering when we like this," Lucie thought as she places a hand on Artemis' face. "Don't worry, Artemis. I'll be okay no matter what. And since our familiar connection is gone, how about we create a new kind of connection?" she said with a smile.
"Lady Lucie?"
"Ahem!" Kara said trying to get Lucie's and Artemis' attentions. "Seriously, you talk about me ignoring you… hurting, but you're doing the same thing to me. And to think, I left in such a hurry from Edn to come help you. But, now that your mistress is safe, I guess you don't need your hated mother here anymore." Kara said with an innocent tone.
Artemis sighed. "Alright, I'll listen to your explanation. But, first Lucie, tell us what happened to you."
From the time she woke up to the time she came to their headquarters, Lucie explained everything that has happened since she was in the Human dimension.
"Wait, how long did Kana say you was out?" Artemis said.
"I don't know. I think she said two or three years."
"Impossible. It's only been four human months since you and the others left for Edn. Something's definitely weird."
"Well, that's probably because the massive spell that's been casted on the planet." Kara said, surprising everyone.
"Impossible! We would've noticed something like that one affecting the planet." Artemis said.
"Well, that's probably because you were so busy looking for Lucie. And didn't notice a powerful source of magic was coming from the castle." Kara said.
