Heck yeah, it's really here! Marim grinned as she arrived at the enemy's Hyena Camp. Time to wipe it clean!
She didn't even give the mobs the chance to attack her. WOOSH! Dark Blast! The entire camp was eroded on the spot. Marin perfectly calculated that angle.
Heh, no wonder memer likes playing Jungler DK. Marim nodded. It's the easiest camp clearing ever.
It literally took her a second to steal the entire camp. The whole thing ended up being such a short trip that it was hilarious that she even had to debate it with Nahum. For real, the guy was worrying way too much about everything.
"Well, I'm done here," Marim announced as she turned toward the lane. It was literally one of the quickest camp steals of her career. Now, she was just gonna get back to the lane in a jiffy. It'll be as if no risk was ever taken at all, or so she thought...
"Surprise mothafucka!" WHAM! Luke snuck up on Maverick while she was committing crimes. "It's just like you said, Yuel. We got her!"
"Good." Yuel nodded. "If you struggle to kill her by yourself, make sure to at least slow her down. I'll be over there soon."
"Roger!" Luke grinned. "This is where the fun begins."
There was no telling whether Maverick would choose to fight or flee. So, Luke hadn't pulled out his scourge just yet. For now, he charged at the enemy with the default axe in hand.
Maverick had a difficult decision to make here. Her recent spam of Dark Blast put her at 60% HP, which wasn't the best position to be in.
"Crap, they're actually attacking!" Marim gasped. "Well, no biggie. I've just gotta kill him again, I guess."
"Are you sure that's feasible?" Nahum asked. "Mathematically speaking, you have a rather large HP disadvantage."
"Meh, it'll be fine," Marim reassured. "For a fight like this, a 20% HP difference is almost negligible. We're only gonna smack each other with big hits anyway."
"But that only applies when you have your blast, right?"
"Oh snap, you're right! It's on cooldown!" Marim realized that obvious fact just now. "Well, no pain, no gain!" She stood her ground regardless. It was going to be an epic clash of the early-game titans!
Except, it's not that straightforward. Marim reasoned. I've gotta establish a favorable position first.
But before that, she had to fool the opponent first. WHISH!
"Wow, she's actually swinging back at me!" Luke exclaimed. "The balls on this girl! Haha, love this shit! Let's do it, then!"
He swung his axe again in the enemy's face! However, the attack whiffed.
"Say what?" Luke blinked as he watched the enemy roll under his attack. "Dang, girl got moves. Come over here, you whippersnapper!"
He turned around to unleash Scourge on the fleeing rat, but... the target was gone!?
Damn, dat corner tho! Luke clicked his tongue as the enemy vanished around the nearby jungle wall. It's the exact same wall Luke used moments ago to sneak up to Maverick. Dang wall is playing both sides. It's treason, then.
Though Maverick deserved some props here, she utilized the layout of the jungle real good with that maneuver. Either it was luck, or she had some srs bsns skillz.
"Crap, she's sneaking away!" Luke informed as he gave chase with a Dodge Roll of his own. "I'mma be real, I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to stun her anytime soon like this. She be zigzagging all over the jungle, man."
"I see." Yuel frowned. "This isn't ideal, but we can still make it work. I'll be over there shortly, so keep chasing her."
"Gotcha, fam!" Luke ran like the wind. "Get over here, you little shit...!"
Alas, his prey had no intention of listening. Maverick sneakily maneuvered around the jungle's terrain. She didn't leave herself exposed to Luke's Scourge even for a moment.
Next, I go here! Marim took another sharp turn. Her escape route was convoluted for sure. In fact, it only got her farther away from the lane at first. But it was all part of the master plan.
I'm likely cooked if I let him stun me. Marim reasoned. So, I've gotta keep juking him, even if that means it'll take me longer to get to the lane.
Fortunately, she was very familiar with the jungle's layout. It looked fairly straightforward at first glance, as it was designed to be easy to navigate for casuals. However, there was a lot of depth that could be studied about it.
And, I sure studied the heck out of it. Marim smirked confidently. After all,I'm something of a Jungler myself.
Though she was in Mid in this particular game, she actually had far more experience as a Jungler. It was a more interesting and dynamic role. There was a lot of interesting sauce to study about it.
Among things, knowing how to optimally utilize the twists and turns of the jungle was the 101 of advanced jungling. And, any role could benefit from this knowledge in general for clutch situations like this.
With just a few simple tricks, Marim completely messed up Memer's plans. The guy lost his chance to stun her, so he didn't have much going for him in this offense now.
It was over. Or, so she believed…
