A year after her family rescued the pups, two older boys, identical twins, Asher and Alexander move to town and they all instantly become friends, bonding over their shared love for wolves. Over the years Ellie develops a crush on the twins but know they will never feel the same so she shoves ger feelings down. After the twins turn 18 they start going away for leadership training and their relationship starts to strain. When they graduate and move to college they basically lose contact and Ellie’s heart is broken.
