This world of Chakra is harsh, but rewarding. Kotetsu Hoku is a shinobi just trying to protect the people he cares about. In order to do that, he will have to face against suspicious clans, ambitious murderers, beasts of mass destruction, power hungry nations, immortal beings, and individuals who might as well be gods. And before he's finished, the baton will need to be passed on. Because the fighting never stops for the first Hokage. This is a progression fantasy story. Very loose fan fiction based on Naruto. Entirely original characters, original plot, and heavily rewritten world. Sometimes, the only similarity between canon and this will be in name. This story is Noob friendly! If you didn't bother reading or watching Naruto (or any subsequent series), don't worry as this story will explain abilities and powers as they are brought into focus. For those that did view the original story, I hope you enjoy this one. It had a lot of thought and effort put into it. Even though this story is effectively a rewrite of the lore, please know that A LOT of the previously mentioned effort was put into ensuring the power system feels like a natural evolution of Naruto's power system. Basically, it's the only thing really connecting this story as a fanfic to Naruto at all. The sheer number of hours I have personally spent (wasted) trying to rationalise things from the original story are mind boggling, all for the reason of expanding on them for use in this story. Story Synopsis: The story begins with an event that seemingly jump-starts the Warring States period; Clans that should be at each other's throats are only just beginning to scratch the surface. War has yet to completely bloody the lands. The ancestors of Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha take the stage alongside other important figures over 40 years before the pair are even meant to be born. Witness this new alternate history as it unfolds. Warning: Long term story. No reincarnation, no isekai, no inserts. Multiple character perspectives.
